18 to 24 hours wether they pop or not?

Yep!
I don't want them to pop until they're tucked in to the soil. No light stress, or screwing with a tap root
That's just how I do it, Friend. I have yet to have one pop at 18 hours, but again I haven't grown many strains. My best advice would be to try different methods, and see what works for you.
I've only cracked about 25 beans so far, so I'm in no way an Uber grower, but so far all but 2 have germed.
Remember, too, if you've had good luck until this batch, it may be bad seed.

I put seeds in a shot glass with water for 24 hours( on top of sky box)with a cup over to keep dark and warm till they just crack open then put tail down in soil in biodegradable cup, water and into a clear autoclave bag (has a little breathing patch) sealed at the top to keep humidity in and put at the bottom of the grow cupboard. Had 100% with success rate with this.
I had 3 out of 5 candy Kush seeds fail recently so changed to this method(basically no chance of the pot drying out)

omg sorry. You meant for the tap root to show. Sorry man. Im too high. Yeh 12-24 hours but I don't let my seeds sit in the wet towel longer then 12 hours due to rot or drowning. Sorry again. My tard mistake

I would get few black bin bags and place one inside of another, do this 2 or 3 times to assure it does not split. Tip soil in, give it a shake and a mix up then sprinkle the lime in a little at a time over the whole lot, mix, add a little more lime then mix again and repeat till you have added all the lime you require for the size of your pot.

If you wait in till the seed is in the pot you will have to dig down an inch or two around the seed and top dress the soil. Then have to water the lime through out the pot. I know this as I have just had to top dress my soil due to a low soil ph. Its easy enough to do but would have been better to have had it mixed through out the soil to start with.
