Lighting Sungrow LED 8 band full spectrum with 3500k cob grow light

That's pink not 3500k probably just like the crummy "800w cob grow light" you find on eBay for $100. Leds should burn out in a week. From the description is has 2 tiny 3500k diodes in it so they can advertise 3500k spectrum.

The leoled looks good at a glance. Says they use Cree and osram on mean well drivers. Ppf output looks accurate, price is a little on the high side at over $4/w. The 125w looks around 54% efficient, the 89w 48% efficient. Definitely a better choice over the eBay one.

Im not hell bent on having the greatest LEDs available . A lot of people grow decent stuff with the budget lights off ebay as well to be honest, would not be my first choice if budget was not an issue. Just seen a superb grow from some one with a Relandro or whatever the make is, and that was a 600w ebay special, basically the same one I linked but just bigger. I appreciate I think £230 for the Leoled is quite good in comparison to say an HS1.

Oh definitely. The hs1 is an overpriced 40% efficient mono panel.

But most of those budget Chinese lights will perform poorer than an hps of equal watts. If they advertise "800w grow light" but then say 250w actual, something is a little off.(the only way 250w of anything would perform like an 800w HID is if it emitted 100% pure light...)

Yes, fair enough, that why it baffles me when people expect the same yields from an advertised 600w LED but in fact it is 300w to 600w Hps, crazy!. Thing is, my requirement is not just about performance, I need something half decent, easy on the electric and not stupidly priced. I just dont know if the lower end LeoLed would be sufficient, I have a Mars 300 that I could run with it I suppose. So the LeoLed lower end panel is better spec'd than the HS1? was looking for the PPf data on the HS1 but cant find it anywhere.

Hs1 info is harder to find. But I'd guess around 140 ppf at the most. I put them on the "shady mfg" category, they still claim 75w replaces a 250w hps. (If this were true I'd expect everyone to be getting a minimum of 3gpw with the thing lol)

@Atulip what LED would you recommend for around £200-£250 please? $380ish, its for a 0.8 x 0.8 x 1.6 tent.

I wanna recommend DIY for that budget. This is about as simple as it gets, around $2/w, gets you 200w of 56% efficiency white light Cree cobs in 3500k(or 3000k or 4000k if you wanted) and all you gotta do is mount them to a frame. (Ppf of 515) Full DIY would be even cheaper if this interests you.

Otherwise I don't know of what's available in Europe for quality lights that won't break the bank. Look for 2ppf+/w and you'd probsbly want at least a ppf of 400 to flower in that space.
