new to afn!
I am planning to a super cali haze grow in the summer, start them inside around april time.I am not going down the greenhouse route this year thought i would go guuerilla due to bud rot in the greenhouse last summer!I have a red 200wcfl lying about so I want to use this to start them of for the best chance of survival in the wilderness! know red cfl tend to make plants stretch but surely this would be better then planting them staright outside? I seek help with what size container I should use as this will be a guerilla grow in the feilds around my town, because i will need the plants big enough to survive and not get munched by animals also they cannot be massive as they will have to be transplanted. If anone can give me any advice would be a big help:)

Welcome to the forum. If you can try and get a blue spec bulb for vegging. If your just going to start them inside and put them in the ground you could use a 4 or 6 inch pot. That should give you a nice plant to put outside. As far as animals theres not much youcan do except put a fence around them, but then the fence will be more obvious.:smokebuds:

Welcome to the site. :D After a few weeks growth inside, it will be less prone for critter snacking when you transplant out.. There are other products like Liquid Fence and other deer repellents. Good luck.

Use a 1/2 gallon paper milk carton with the very top cut off...slice some holes for drainage and let her grow lanky. When you go to plant outside, prune some leaves off the bottom part of the main stem and bury up to the first node of branches...this will all become root mass and will put your core root ball deeper down near the cool water it needs outside, preventing drought right away.

I would aim to get her in the ground around week 5 from seed.

Check out the grows from grownbitchz hes got some effective methods !

welcome my uk brother id hold off until may give them 4 weeks under the cfl before hardening off outdoors

if your not doing multi harvest id shoot for may onwards if up north

personally id start them 1g considering there a massive plant

I got those beans too for this year, ive been doing a bit of research and havent found any grows at oour latitiude but Stitch has been giving some advice down on the flash seeds forum bit https://www.autoflower.org/f21/outdoor-grow-report-7-stitch-strains-16632-2.html

He reccomends only one transplant after 2 weeks and the final pot should be over 5 gallons !
Im starting my SCH and stinkies in April, 3 weeks under 20 - 4 then one week in the window (if poss) then out, i start in fibre pots in a prop then into 1 gallons then tier into grow bags. If you have a good window sil that could be used to suplement the red light.

thanks for eveyones advice, been really helpfull guys :) but ah well will just have to use the red cfl and see how it goes! i will be mainly working on the stalks with the fan to get them hench so they will be able to sustain the wind lol will defo us a fence fuck it! how long will you reckon it will take them to be rootbound out of a plastic cups on 24/0 with red cfl? and the same if i used 5 or six inch pots as namvet25 said?

and how big would the plants be as need to be discrete to be able to transplant! also in the south of uk:)

It's not about getting them rootbound, in fact you DON'T want them root bound...I would put them in a 1/2 gallon container like I said and try to have them in the ground once they are at their third node of development, i.e. about 4-5 weeks from sprouting.
