I got something like that. Yours is a tad fancier, but it definitely works for controlled flow. I used to have something even crazier in my last grow spot with a big toter acting like the reservoir. I built a shelf 8' up and put the toter on it. Put the tube in the corner through a grommet and then jacked the opposite sides up so the corner was the low spot. I actually developed a fair bit of water pressure in that setup being how high up it was and how much water could fit inside. It was even using a coiley piece for the hose which kept it nice and neat, and a simple ball valve kept the flow control adjustable and had an off position. Would love to do that again here................ awesome hack.
Another option is one of these "pressure bottles" for the likes of weedkillers, the type you pump up by hand. Just be careful with how much you pressurise it but, in theory, can do the same without the risk of you spilling water.
