Top stuff Wez, Sorry I missed your last update, I've just recovered from a weekend in Amsterdam, smoked so much Sativa I didnt sleep a wink for 3 days, all refreashed now though,
Looks like your cola is fox tailing, that was all mine was, strings of buds, she wasnt the dense type, however just as nice. Today I've just weighed her, so far after 5 days at 28C, she is weighting 85.1 grams, now jared till tomorrow were I will burp her for the next couple of days before I store her away. so just say just under 3 oz, I'm very happy so far, had a quick taste lastnight before bed and found it very relaxing and chiled out smoke, taste alright too considering shes not 100% dry yet.

Cheers Kudo, matter of days left now, I'm going wait until 50/50 on the Amber Trics I think! Also I've just had My Easy Ryder (AK47 x LowRyder 2) popped through the soil, so she's going to go through the exact treatment (Lights, Soil and nutes etc) as this Lady! Also going to start a journal on her as well. Peace Bro

Cheers Marcuss, what Amber tric ratio did you go for in the end? I know what you mean by the foxtailing, but she's so fucking fat on that Cola with buds. I've had a few small nice samples so she won't yield as high as she would of but I'm estimating that huge top cola should be at least 3oz hopefully dry? So what did you do with the trim? Debating whether to do a hash or some cakes with mine!! Just had my Easy Ryder pop up so under the lights now. She'll be another exciting grow as I've had quite a few Easy Ryders under my belt an they smoke beautifully! Peace

Well I forgot to mension, I wanted to cut early so I could have a staggered harvest with the Ak, So I decide to remove large fan leaves each day, in the past this has speed'ed up the maturing process, they were 80% cloudy, not ambre, was looking for a good high with no coachlock, could of gone a 5 days more, but I had to chop before I went on hoilday.

You will lose a lot of weight yet, when you manicure the cola, you will have lots of suger leaves where I like to remove, got some trim of course going straight into the freezer.
fox tailing is were to buds keep growing long of the cola, Its a more sativa hybrids that do this, google "foxtailing"

I put I KNOW what you mean by the foxtailing mate lol! I've grew a few Hazes in the past where as Sativa had it in the foxtailing state before lol!! Your sweet buds in the tubs are looking nice man! Not sure what way I'm going to harvest yet, as sometimes I've removed just the fan leaves as the sugar leaves shrivel up but protect the Trics that are also coated in the Trics themselves or their snipped off. Or just the usual way trimming to the buds. Thai Buddha Man has an awesome peice he wrote on how he harvests, dries and cures on the main home page on this site which is the leaving the sugar leaves to shrivel way that I have done in the past. Brilliant bit of reading for anyone wanting to see different ways of trying it. You'll have to give us a smoke report!! Peace bro

Also, when do you turn over to red light instead of the white/blue? Im not quite sure how to see this, was reading I should do it after 2-3 weeks.

Yes she's looking great bro, what's your set up (soil,lights,nutrients?). I wouldn't worry to much about it being your first ever grow, there are plenty of wonderful experienced growers here to help 24/7. Any questions just ask that's what were here for, I think were always learning new things all the time, an I've been doing it for years, only swapped over to autos in the last year due to the super High THC levels and yields in some of the new auto crosses! When it comes to the water I used bottled still water from asda as in the uk (16p a bottle). With the watering when she was a seedling I just filled up the bottle lid an watered her out of that so she didn't get over watered. But then as she grew I use the technique of lifting the pot to see how light it is then water till it got heavier. With practice you will get used to knowing the ideal weight it needs to be. With the question of blue/red lighting, I didn't swap myself as in the past I've had good results from just daylight CFLs, I think if I had of used the red for budding she may have produced a little more but I can't see her getting any bigger than she is now!! But you want to swap to the Red when she starts to preflower (pistils coming out of the calyxes) so yes you were right about 2-3 weeks, mine started to show her sex (pistils) about 12 days I think? And yes that peice that Thai Buddha Man Wrote on harvesting, drying and curing is also a nice bit to treat as a bible. He does it himself as he grows for a legal dispensary, so he certainly knows what he's writing about!! Peace Bro
