Molasses serves more purpose in the budding stage than it does the vegetative stage... just my opinon. Humidity is fine @ 36%. Rockwool cubes hold a ton of water in my experience man, I wouldn't leave a half inch of water in the tray. I'd just keep the cube wet / moist.. with seedlings in rockwool I could go 3-4 days without watering.. the stuff has huge water retention. Molassses is also useless without mycos. No mycos, no point in molasses. Plants can't use sugar in it's raw form. None of your nutes are myco innoculators. Therefor you'll get 0 use from molasses and just gunk up your rockwool at this point. Your FFOF soil though, that's gonna have mycos in it and get some benefit from molasses.

I defiantly understand what your saying.
I wasn't planning on using it right now at all, I was going to wait till my baby's were bigger. And in soil.
By the way you have any experience using cha Ching?
And when to transplant by size or by roots?

I've never used the solubles unfortunately, they were always a little too pricey for me - I felt if I wasn't getting a lot from the base line, the solubles weren't worth the money. I had their Microbe Brew and Kangaroots products though. Those worked better than their base line. I still use their Kangaroots product. thumbs:

I tend to transplant early to prevent shock, typically by the third set of real leaves I wan to have my plant in a container. If your plant pushes roots out of the bottom of that cube and they just sit in the tray, they will die. That won't be good for the plant.

Welcome to AFN. You are getting the best advice about autos on the net. I am just finishing my first year of growing and let me say it is the best hobby you can have. The poke and pray method of germinating is all I have used so far, harvesting my 4th grow soon. The only failure I have had came from me not making a good soilmix, now I use Pro-mix ultimate stright. Good luck.

Alrighty makes sense. So microbrew and kangaroos was good stuff.
So people been knocking baseline ff nutes why so? Is it cheap? I have a buddy who a pretty experience grower for the most part, says he only uses vidabloom. It's a tad bit more expensive tho.
But I just want what's best for my plants. Well to prevent shock ill get right on that transplant for the girls that are ready tomorrow, take a few pix of mixing that soil like ya said. And then see up these t5's of mine

Thank you thank you :) I'm gonna do some research on best soils, ima check out that pro mix ultimate.
I went with ffof due to a lot of beginners using it and getting descent results.
4 grows that's awesome, ima have to check out your journal.
It's the fun of a hobby, but there's more of an attachment to me. :)

My complaint with FF base line nutes is how many other variables come into play when using them. Maybe it was just my lack of Cal-Mag, maybe it was just my fluctuation in pH.. all I know is my experience with Botanicare and Advanced Nutrients has been far more enjoyable than my experience with Fox Farm.. Microbe brew and Kangaroots are barely used.. They've introduced new products since I moved on to other products. Now they have "Boomerang" and "Flower Kiss"... I just see FF cause more problems than other nutrient lines in my experience on forums, maybe I'm a bit biased. They are a quality nutrient company, but they just seem to offer an antiquated product.

I'm sure with their entire line up and CalMag, pH controlling additives, you'll be fine.

Sounds good man, ill keep you posted on transplant tomorrow :)

Everything Wg said is correct, FF will burn and it will salt up. This grow I am using Advanced sensi cal-mag grow and bloom between feedings of FF with a plain watering in between. Once the roots fill the container you will be watering more. I only got the quart size of FF because I am still looking for the nutes that fit the way I want to grow. At the rate I am using the stuff I will be using it for a year. The FF big grow seem to be the one to be real careful with, 5ml-10ml/gal, never more. I like FF because it mixes well and is easy to adjust. I will be trying Advanced products next.

Awesome, yeah I'm definitely going to look into pure vida grow and bloom stuff. But later on though.
