Target PPM vs. Rec Dosage: which is better?

Which is the more desirable target?
I'm doing RDWC and would like to follow a PPM schedule and target through out my grow. Using ph perfect AN.

What I'm find is if I create a nute solution following a 1/2 strength mix from the instructions that my PPM are around 150. The only way to reach 300-500ppm would to drastically over feed and saturate the solution.

So which method do I follow? The dosage recommendation from the nutrient manufacturers or do ignore dosages and make a solution to meet the target PPM?

I would say target ppm. Because every plant is different where as they are giving instructions and dosages based off generalities.

Fertilizer companies want to sell more fertilizer.
Don't believe them, believe your plants.
Too much fertilizer causes problems.
So can supplements.
