So i guess alot of people are having this problem seeing as its really hard to control temperatures. So why dont you let us know what Gadget/Heater or whatever else you use that works well, to help maintain your temperatures when your lights go off. Thanks

I was thinking about this the other day and reptile heating came to mind, you can get ceramic heaters that fit in an es27 socket and then run them on a dimming thermostat.
Given the ceramic heater is big enough for your grow is should keep the temps perfect

I don't worry about lights out temp.Yes they will drop somewhat but this also happens outdoors when night time temps usually fall also,so this should be no problem and will not effect the plants.

Anything under 60f slows growth and anything under 50f can slowly damge plant tissue and stop growth completely sometimes this can take anything from 24hours for the plant to recover and start growing again so keeping temps up is important i think.

that what i was going to say ...and correct me if iam wrong......i do have a heater in there set at 60f only because there autos and i'm afraid to stressing them to much because of there short life

I use space heaters in both my areas to keep the night temps up. Soil, not air temp is the key. When the soil temps starts to drop into the 60s it inhibits the uptake of P. The plants can show this via the stems turning red or purple. If you have your pots sitting directly on a cold floor, especially a cement one, raise them up or put a heat mat under the pots. The best thing I ever did for temp control was to install one of these: http://www.qcsupply.com/commercial-...mount-variable-speed-controller-110-volt.html. It automatically controls the speed of my exhaust fan to maintain the set temp. Now my temps don't vary by more than 5 degrees from a high of 85 to a low of 80.

Can you show us any links to the type of ones you use Muddy??

Nothing special, just 1,500 watt, 2 speed ones I picked up at WalMart. $18 each. I run them on a timer so they only come on during lights out. When the lights are on the heat from my LEDs is sufficient to keep the temps within range as long as I run that variable speed controller.
