Hi,can anyone tell me the right temps for growing with led though between 82f to 85f but also read can go as low as 76f please someone enlighten me as getting confused!lol.

Personally I prefer to keep the temps round the 78f/26c mark. Most of the time my temps stay round the 73f/23c but never below 70f/21c.

I tend to use CFL's to keep the heat in the tent but if you aren't a fan of 24 hour lighting you can use a greenhouse heater to keep the temperatures up during lights off.

There is no exact set temp that is correct but the majority of growers thati have found grow between 78f and 82f but not over 85f.Ilike to keep mine around78 to 80.

Like Nam said it can vary , as a general rule of thumb indicas can deal with cooler temps and sativas are better with warmer temps, which leaves hybrids floating around in the middle and their ability to deal with heat/cool come down to the percentage of the parental genetics making up the strain.

The happy medium is around 25C/77F and it is generally accepted not to go more than 5C/9F above or below that.

It is possible to go above 30C/85F if you have high light level in conjunction with CO2.

My cab is LED and temps are between 24C/75.2F & 28C/82.4F depending on the ambient temps of the day.

Over here i have them between 22c and 26c in the night between 15-18c any hotter or colder i wouldnt go. Btw Gertrude u asked in the Topled section bout the 300w unit. My mate uses it since 1,5 Years and hes happy with it. Always has some good dense Buds and they Ladys seem to like it.

78 - 80 degrees (80 °C = 176 °F) was always the acceptable range when HPS lights were the standard. Because LEDs don't put out the same high heat intensity, temps can run a little higher. 82 - 85 degrees (85 °C = 185 °F) gives the best transpiration under LEDs with stable relative humidity in the 50 - 60% range. Here's a good video where they talk about proper temps under LEDs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJIjJ5nZUZw&nomobile=1

Planning on trying to decarb them while they are growing Muddy? :slaps:

I didn't think everyone was seeing those conversions. I had asked before and was told they weren't showing up. It's a Fire Fox add on I'm using called Converter 1.2.3 that automatically makes SAE to metric conversions on the fly. It's handy but sometimes doesn't get it right. If everyone is seeing that then I need to disable it as it's likely to cause confusion.

Muddy think you may have got you centigrade and fahrenheit a little mixed up.
[h=1]78- 80 degrees is the fahenhiet temps , 78F is 25.5C and 80F is 26.6C. [/h]Don't forget the guys in the video are American and are using american measurements ie Fahrenheit

Even when using CO2 enrichment with light at 7500 - 10000 lumens per square foot and CO2 at 1200 - 1500 ppm, max temps can then go between 30C/85F & 35C/95F but shouldn't go higher than this sweet spot. When using CO2 enrichment as just described temps should not go below 30C/85F.

lol two replies whilst I was writing mine.

Just thought you must have been smoking some good weed and things got a little hazy lol
