We are new growers to cannabis. We went to a hydroponic store and requested a beginners grow tent and lights, very simple. We were sold a DP 90 tent, 2x2x3, which turned out to be a proprogater tent. Sigh...Turned it on it's side as the autos we were growing were gaining heighth to much for the 2 feet.

We were also sold a Maxlume 2 bulb ballast and 2 T-5 grow and 2 T-5 flower bulbs.

Now through lots of reading I think this is not the best set up but don't want to throw it all out and start over. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to make the best use of this set up? I have a short ryder growing and 3 low girls; but it sure seems slow to me after looking at all the grow journals on this site.

Thank you in advance for all your help and advise.

What's the total wattage.

You can limit the growth of the plant, and use that.

Or you can make a grow space. I am making one at the moment
of an old TV cabinet I got used. It will have about the same volume
you have; but I'll only want to grow one plant with 250 watts.

You will need a tent at least twice that high. I would see if you can take it back and get a bigger one.For more light you can add some cfl's screwed into a few small surge protectors with some plug to bulb adapters.

Is this the lamp?

I'd recommend, if you intend on keeping these products and going from start to finish in them, that you look into how to tie your plants down. Micro Growers work with far less space and once the plants are a little established that light can be as close as possible.

LST is "Low Stress Training" and is tying your plant over so that it reaches for the light and grows in a bendy fashion, kind of like a pipe cleaner but with the sturdiness of a 2x4.
