New Grower THC in Trichomes: Reproduction or defence mechanism

But what if u could feed a small amount to it using water instead of light

Interesting! :scope:
Will definetly have a look into this.

Thanks Eekman and LittleBoy for sharing. :thread: milkman!

Thanks for info master eek

Yeah just curious, obviously its in everyone's best interest to better understand how to possibly maximise production of trichs

Thought it may be able to increased from different types of stress, therefore allowing a grower with a small hps to produce as good or better quality trichomes rich bud as someone using a much bigger and better light source.

Thank you to all that have given this question due thought, your responses are appreciated.

If you're running FL you can push up your UV levels by adding a tube of Black Light, it's not as intense as the led UV but it helps :2cents:

15-20 mins a day is all that is needed each day....more will burn the plants...

I run 2x26w reptiglo 10 in my tent, about a 10" above the plants. They are on 20 hours a day. I noticed no deterioration in plant health after I started using them.

Black lights produce UVA not UVB. Normal glass is impervious to UVB and you need a bulb made for it. Most of the reptiglo bulbs light is visible and thus a nice way to add some blue to a HPS system but it is the UVB that is desired. LED's cannot help here. They have very low efficiency at UVA frequencies, I don't think they can reach UVB at all.

The first thing that I noticed when I added these was that the buds were frostier than usual. When smoked, they are stronger. No change in yield. For the price of the bulbs, it is well worth it.

IMG_1648.jpgIMG_1319.jpg:bong:new here...but i have only grown one auto before i started my log...it was under a repti glo 5.0...she went for 3 months...never threw more than some microscopic pistols(never saw any even at the end)...and was only maybe 9 or 10 inchs tall..the light almost touched her for three months...no burn...some nice coloration...and incredible thc production....this cream caramel now under t5s has nothin on it in thc production...but shes huge in comparison ...and hairy as hell..oh and the smoke was delicious and intense...some of the strongest stuff ive smoked:smokebuds:

:peace:Nice input thud. Thanks for the tip. Reptilglo may well be worth a go.
