So in MI a resident (or residence) can grow up to 100 plants, realistically with most likely destined for sale in the illegal market? As I recall, that's even more than allowed in pot-growing areas of CA (Humboldt County?). What do police expect growers do with the many 10s of pounds of pot from all these plants? What about limits on possession, usually just ounces, and sales, usually none allowed? Do police totally ignore possession limits, and also allow possession- and commercial-level sales? Is it effectively totally 'legal' for real in MI, essentially no laws enforced by the locals?
I can grow over 50 lbs with my 12 legal plants...a grower with 4 plants could easily grow over 15 lbs if they knew what they were doing outdoors. Yes Michigan a huge agricultural state probably filled with some of the best farmers in the country can produce an agricultural product on a scale not seen anywhere else. Flower is only worth roughly 400 to 600 a lb here also however. Let's not pretend laws are made to protect people it's a money making venture the court system and there is no $ to be made off prosecution of cannabis offenses therefore why prosecute. Im not saying you can't get in trouble here but you would have to be begging for trouble to find any.
There are laws on plant count, possession limits, and consumption in public but like I said before as long as you are respectful if u have to deal with a cop you will more than likely just end up with a warning or nothing at all because the cops here realize there is real crime going on they can better serve handling.

Impressive!! So the trimmer didn’t overdo it too much!
Im still working on figuring out the correct dry on the flower to get the trimmer to work the best. Slightly on the wetter side of dry seems to be working the best. Dry flower seemed to crumble a bit. I still have to finish manicuring a tiny bit after running but not much at all. It saved my hands and a ton of time so far. Im definitely happy with it so far.

I'm sure many in other 'legal' states would disagree that for their state "there is no $ to be made off prosecution of cannabis offenses therefore why prosecute?" In most 'legal' states, isn't the illegal market targeted to 1) protect the state's monopoly and income from legal pot sales (licensed dispensaries); 2) get income from fines and 3) disrupt the cash-based underground economy, including income and sales tax evasion?

So let me ask you do you not like the way things seem to roll in Michigan? Would you rather harsher restrictions for people? Im not sure where you are coming from on this matter.

I'm just asking questions and surprised there seems to be no downsides to growing massive amounts of pot, with MI seemingly an outlier, not like most other 'legal' states which default to dealing (vs. personal) level enforcement if only to protect their cannabis licensing fees and taxes.

There was a dreadful downfall to over growing, price plummeted to the point it's no longer worth really being in the game, setting things up for big pharma even more.
We've been at the cannabis thing for some time in Michigan, I've had my med card for i believe 17 years now and i was a little late getting to the festival. I still remember the good old lawless times we use to have backpacking in lbs of weed to dispos mostly unregulated that were literally everywhere almost at every intersection and getting 3500 a lb for decent home grown. Being able to smoke wherever even while driving, smoking lounges , even smoking bud at the bar, didn't use to have any laws at the beginning...

Where even fully 'legal,' aren't outdoor plants required to not be visible off property, to the neighbors/public? Were you actually doing something technically wrong and lucky to not receive a ticket (pay a fine) from the policeman?
I was assuming that the cannabis plant can not be seen from any roadway. :baked:

Looks a lot better in the middle of winter with a buzz on :toke:
What's the most comfortable room in a Michigan home in deep winter? :haha:
