Weekend update - tomorrow’s Friday for me and picking up that fresh bluefin tuna at air cargo.

Transplanted 4 into the raised bed and the other two I’m not sure what I’m going to do yet or where.
Everything got sprayed with lost coast plant therapy to make sure the critters and mold don’t get a head start.

Weather pattern looks great as we’re into the low 80’s-90’s.

@Waira the DP and SourD are Humbolt Seed Co, Green Crack is Fast Buds, and Space Station Gold is NightOwl.

There are some very knowledgeable equatorial NLD grower/preservationists on the other forum I'm at, so I'll ask about this... they are something of an extreme case for sure. Most of these growers run such Sativa's at 10/14 give-or-take to help push blooming along.
The morphology of their buds and leaves are adaptations to their environment, and it seems a fair conclusion that their looooong life/bloom cycles are reflected in this as well. But the drought thing could be pretty variable, so much depends on the "local specifics" of where that landrace/heirloom has been grown (and adapted to) for so many generations....

From my recent time on a sativa / haze mission, a lot of growers who work with these say smaller pot size and low moisture can both initiate flowering faster and also finish flowering faster.
The lower light cycles also help initiate and finish, but for @Mara Cachafa 's situation, we can't work with the light hours (light dep is a lot of work!)
I wouldn't say it's proven fact, but it's common idea, including from many with a lot of sativa / haze experience.
In general, as you say, specific cultivars will have specific circumstances.

Have a happy 4th

It can work but I don't think you'll get the full potential of the genetics, I'm only speaking out of my ass tho as the longest sativa's I've had were about 16-17 wk plants. I just have a hard time believing all those psychedelic type compounds in those super sativa's can be produced in substantial quantities in a short time. But like I said I could totally be wrong. I know the same idea does in fact work on auto flowers. So who knows lol!

Not exactly a sativa / haze master myself, but I'd agree.
Helpful for hastening maturation, but not necessarily ideal for the plant as a whole.
Still a lot of debate, for example, about how green / how much N to use, vs PK, for that matter.
I've found less water will drop leaves, compared to more water and N for a greener plant.

I’ve grown a lot of sativa and found it likes consistent inputs and waterings but not really overpowering nutrients.

Dutch Passion LemonZ photoperiod girlz got their lowers trimmed. I've been feeding once a day in the afternoon at 2pm, after they start to look thirsty. Some older leaves inside the bush turned yellow and I plucked them. No sign of flower, I'll keep stressing them watering once a day until runoff (in coco feeding 2.5g/GL Megacrop 1-part).
