I use the HLG UVA LED light bar that attaches directly to my HLG DIABLO 650R.
It's 30 watts, designed for 12 hr. cycle in a 4' x 4' or 5' x 5' space.
I think it does affect strains differently. I think some strange react more. That VidaMints went all violet/black, stacked and REALLY greasy. I did hit that tent too hard the first round. They were autos and I ran the same 18/6 as the main. I would say lessen the yield, but I really can't say that because the buds on all the girls in the tent were just rock hard. I definitely did not like the condition of the leaves at the end. They had thickened quite considerably. I think that was the plant's response to the UVA .

...yeah, nothing replicates the Sun and the balance of UV's, and their interactions with each other and the plant. Dark pigments function in a protective capacity, and heavy hits will do some other odd things too...
I'm pretty sure my friend doesn't run his nearly that long but I don't recall the spec's on his (watts, wavelength types)..?

Vida is a color queen for sure, so hard to measure what contribution the UVA puts in on that account... All the CBD auto's I've run were the apprx. 1:1, but that's an estimation at best. They can vary either way significantly, and you definitely can feel it!
Have you grown that CBD HazeXL from Jean-O yet? It's an old Dinafem cross, repro'ed by another forum friend a while ago, which I sent some of to Jean later. To date, my fav! ....If you haven't, git sum, she never disappoints -
Sweet's Honey Peach CBD was a pheno' clown show; first one was truly excellent, the next was WTF sucky (so far off the mark it was pathetic; same seed pack BTW), last one was in-between...

I just finished a huge defoliation and leaf stripping right before the pics. It's been a battle this year to keep these things tamed down and under control. The aim for this year's harvest wasn't purely for weight but only top shelf top buds. Im definitely hoping all the extra effort keeps the plants more healthy this year producing a better overall quality product!

Some nice super frosty dank plants so far this season! Im looking forward to seeing how they photos turn out. I've done nothing except for water with the hose a few times this year, no feeds at all.

Vidamints Is definitely affected by the amount of UVA. It is interesting that it's response is increasing production of Anthocyanin.
Yeah, I outright told Adam that there was no way It was a 50/50! NOT with that hammering hit. That one hit that faded me hardcore was the hardest hit EVER with live rosin, until a few days ago. My buddy up in Oklahoma sent me some live rosin from this Sour GMO seed that someone gave him. I've helped him run Ice water hash before and that's what this was. Very beautiful rosin!
I loaded a nice dab in my Fovus V and hit it on my lowest setting. The first hit was just taste sample and it was really good. I took a bit better hit, not real crazy, I could feel the rush coming on and I knew it was going to be a good one! I had my first 'White light' fade! It was pretty transitory and lasted about 2 seconds, but in that short period of time my mind said don't walk to the white light!I called my buddy and told him about it. He just laughed and said, "I was just waiting on that!"

So I told him I need a seed! Well, that ain't happening.

He was stoned off his ass when the guy gave him the seed in a little baggie with all it had on it was Sour GMO. He doesn't remember who gave it to him and he never kept any clones.

I'm sure I can find something just as good out there with the same flavor. But with him saying how easy of a grow it was and how well it produced, it is a bit sad to lose a known producer.

I think it was Jeno's CBD Haze I grew, but I may be thinking of Dutch Passion. I do have seven of the seeds of Jeno's.

That leaf already went into the fire pit my friend. I did not see them till I was looking at the pictures I took this morning. I ran to the garden like it was 5 alarm fire.

I started a fem run before I germed these, they are almost done.



We should be good till October as long as the it doesn't get too rainy. I'm real close to Lake Michigan, cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter till the lake freezes.
