Hi As you have probably seen by my thread in the introduction I am new to all of this so here is the situation.

I have one Auto Northern Light Seed which was started off in water until the route appeared out of the pod by about 0.5 inch. I have planted it in a 20 litre pot using soil from a tomato grow bag which was recommended to me. I water finely everyday to keep the area moist but not soaked. Since tuesday (3 days ago) it has germinated and has grown to about 2cm and has got two (small but established) leafs and I THINK there is two more sprouting as well. Of course the plant still has it 2 green seed pod leafs But I take it this is normal? The plant has a good colour and looks healthy. It is in direct open air sunlight (indoor growing is not an option) The temperature here is in the mid 20's. So just a few questions?

1. Have I done everything right so far and is the growth speed normal?

2. When do I start using fertiliser? I was lead to believe once the 4th nodule was established. But is this different in AF varieties? Or was I totally misinformed? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

3. I've been told that normal tomato feed is ideal for fertilising as it Nutritional values are the same as what cannabis requires. I have tomorite tomato feed that I use for my tomatoes. Diluted 20 ml to 4.5 litres of water once a week. The NKP ratio is 4-3-8. is this okay?

4. How and when do I flush the plant out?

5. The Estimated time to harvest is 9 weeks from germination but how can I be sure my plant is ready for a harvest? Bare in mind I am a person who likes a nice high followed by a nice stone. I don't like being knocked out straight away because I can't see the point in smoking if your not going to be around long enough to reap the benefits and feelings :jump::jump:lol.

Thanks for taking the time to read guys and can't wait for your informative responses.

In my personal experience with autos AND photos, once they germ and break ground i just give them plain water for 1.5 to 2 weeks. And when you give them their first feeding make sure it is 1/4 strength and you can work your way up with nutes from there.

Thank you my friend that is some handy information. I had heard that from somebody before regarding introducing nutes gradually. I take it you work up a 1/4 per week so within a month the plant will be having the full amount of fertiliser as instructed on the bottle?

Anymore answers on the questions I asked??? It would be very helpful :smokebuds:

growth sounds normal I usually wait till they show sex before I feed but I have a bad feeling your tomato grow bag could e packed full of nutrients already which could be bad as you always want to start feeding in a highly diluted solution usually a quarter strength

Hi and Thanks Rob for the advice. It was a growbag that I have used before, for normal cannabis seeds and the harvest was good although it wasn't auto flowering, still the same principle I suppose?
When I do start feeding, is the NKP ratio of 4-8-3 ok to use? If not could you recommend a basic garden centre brand to use? Bare in mind I live in England and am growing outside
