5 are coming along nicely, but the one with the chop stick propping her up isn't happy at all. Sorry the photos were rushed again and that one isnt very good. She bolted on day two and grew to about 2 or 3 inches in a day or two, but her leaves are still relatively underdeveloped. She can't stand up on her own and I'm also wondering if I didn't plant her deep enough. We'll see!

Coming along nicely now on day 8, had their first feed today. Will put some pics up in the next day or 2. All of my SDAs and one of the AWWs have grown a lot in 3 days IMO. Can see the beginnings of the first internodal branching.

I think ive been savagely over watering them though, didn't think I was giving them that much though. I was giving them two little waterings a day, morning and night, but forgot a night time and morning water yesterday, came back to them at 2pmish today and they were all still happy as larry, perky and green!

Oh well! I'll have to hardly water them at all from now on, just going to water in the mornings until they get a little bigger. The SDAs haven't been phased at all and all and look nice, strong and healthy, not that I have a proper reference, but they look nice to me, big leaves, not bolting, deep green and nicely symmetrical. Two of the AWWs are a little under developed. The one that was held up by a chop stick is now supporting itself but the leaves are still small and haggard, and its stringy and tall, not very symetrical looking either so might have to go soon. I'll wait a little longer though. The second AWW is just smaller than the rest and the last AWW is a little smaller than the SDAs but still nice looking.

Does anyone know if the slower growth in the AWWs is more likely to be over watering or possibly strain related? I know that the AWW is a shorter strain than the SDA and also SDAs are meant to be resilient to over fertilising so I guess maybe to over watering too? Or they just drink more.

Ive also been looking for some advice on flushing if anyone can help?

Ph of tap water is about 8.7 where I am, I'm assuming this isn't okay to put through my pots, so I'm going to have to find an alternative? If so I don't think putting 40l through my pots is feasible, if anyone could recommend a minimum amount to flush through my 15l pots for it to be effective, before switching to bloom nutes, I would be eternally greatful? :)

The first 3 (bottom on the pic the pic of them all) are the diesels, 3 after that the widows. The diesels stink already, proper acrid stench! :)

Apologies for not completing this journal, I doubt anyone's going to read this but I feel a sense of responsibility to do so because of how little information there is available regarding Dinafem's Sour diesel auto and having grown it and found it to be an exceptional strain I feel I should comment on that fact, albeit a little late!

I did complete this grow but freaked out at the end of it for good reason and didn't take any pictures and haven't been active online since. I do have some at the early stages of flowering which I will upload when I can, but they're currently on a device which I need to buy a new charger for.

Basically I wanted to say that out of the 3 SDA's that I popped I got two distinct phenos, possibly 3 but I lack the experience to say whether the differences of the two that looked similar were genetic or environmental. They all finished later than the WW's, finishing between 75-86 days. Late in veg I had problems across the board with ph and dialing in the watering but managed to nip it in the bud with a couple of days of watering without nutes. I think this stunted the WW's but the SDA's were much more forgiving and just carried on lapping it up. Particularly the more sativa dominant pheno that I had.

Two of the SDA's displayed classically indica dominant traits in terms of structure, being squat with lots of fat leaves, with lots of tight nodes. These 2 finished in under 80 days, one yielded 2 z and the other 2.5. Great for a first timer with autos but not anything to sing and dance about. However the 3rd specimen was absolutely unreal! It started off as a bean pole. Massive distances between nodes, very little leaves or side branching. When I originally started this grow I expected to have to remove a couple of plants as I thought they'd outgrow the space, which didn't happen. One of the ones I had marked out for removal was the little bean pole. In retrospect I can't say how glad I am that I didn't remove it!

Up until stretch it was the same size as the others, but when it went it went mental. I was getting between 3 per 5 cm per day! It still had massive distances between nodes and very little leaves. However when it started to flower it was truly incredible. It finished the latest at 86 days and yielded 5.5 z and that was in the hands of someone with very little experience. The fact that it was so sparse meant that light could penetrate it right down to the bottom of the plant and although is was more than twice the height of the others it didn't block any light. It literally had around 10 leaves! The main top cola was a giant donkey dick and the tops of the side branches were also very impressive. The auxiliary bud sites also produced a lot of dense 2-3g nugs. It also didn't take up any space horizontally, only needed about 30cm space laterally and considering how sparse its foliage was I could have packed them in and not blocked any light.

I cannot stress how amazing it was to see this little beanpole turn into one gigantic bud with no leaves on it and a structure that looked like it should only support tiny popcorn buds! It fed like a beast drinking around 2l of water a day and seemed like you could treat her as bad a you like and she'd still keep smiling.

The end quality was better than the WW, although nothing to shout about, potency was there and a slight diesel taste came through. Much better after curing but not much of it made it that far! I'm sure it could do a lot better in terms of end quality in more experienced hands.

Anyway I thought I should mention this because of the lack of info that I've been able to find on this strain and how amazing that one plant was. It would be interesting to see if this was a common trait of the sativa phenos of this strain, because if this is the case Dinafem's SDA is most definitely an unsung hero!

Peace and love and apologies for being a melt and not completing this journal having started it!

Tang, I can see you have just liked this! Please please please test my hypothesis!?... I'm no longer in a position to do so! :(
