So as far as grafting go's, do i just cut a gash in the stem and shove a branch in it, and tape it back up? I have yet to attempt it. but my grand mother usta put oranges and tangerines together, and peaches and pluns and all kinds of combinationd. I always thought it was cool to see 3 or 4 different fruits on one tree.
Yes please! More information would do a body good.

Goauto man I'm still learning the ins and outs of grafting myself and autos are proving to be much more resistant then other plants to traditional light methods. I've had success with tomato and common house plants with light stress methods but not at all the case with autos. I can tell you a little about different methods.
Passive methods are low stress techniques. Simply just binding two branches or stems together until they fuse together. This works great with trees and some veggie plants. This method is slow and I've had no success with is and autos. The binds will cut through the plant matter and choke or kill the plant/branch before they fuse. I've tried this technique several times now with zero success.
Next step up from there is to scrape the areas you want to fuse prior to binding them. I've had a little more success with this but still failed. I don't think I scraped deep enough into the stem/branch. All three attempts eventually failed. They simply grew apart.
Splicing is the most aggressive technique by far. Using different cuts to splice branches or stems together. Using v-cuts and deep tissue cuts to join them.
Splicing is the next step I'm going to try. Im going to try to join two main stems together with a deep tissue cut and binding. This is going to stress the shit out of it so I'm not to sure how to treat for that yet. I mean at what stage will they bounce back the fastest? I know to use superthrive and micro for stress. Just not sure when would be the best time to slice.
I would love to try to join to plants in seperate pots. Indica to sativa. Eventually cutting one free to see if they both could thrive of on one root system or end up with indica root on a sativa plant???
