Awesome read!!! I used the trio for my very first grow ever with decent results. I started to grow tlo now but haven't been able to match the yield I got from the ff trio. I think after reading this I'm going back to ff. So easy to use. Good job brother
That i am not sure, i have never used their soils. I can say that i would always look at the NPK of the soil. Make sure that if it does take the dose light no need to push something that is already there. The site says to use the Big Bloom to start with so that tells me that the makeup of the soil has some N in it already and that any ferts before the first few weeks would be dangerous if not harmful to the plants in their young stage.

That is Black Gold organic soil, the stuff already has a lot of perlite but i always add 4qt to the large bag of soil. Also during the life of the watering the perlite tends to raise to the top a bit so what you saw in the later pics was just perlite coming to the top
Don't be scared.. use the Happy Frog.. just don't fertilize for the first 3 weeks, worked great for my auto blueberry outdoor Sept-Dec. .. The OF I would not use on autos, too hot, even for some regular plants, maybe at the bottom of the pot, if you HAD to..for regular plants I would put OF in the bottom half the pot/hole if my wallet could justify it... Gonna forward this refinance to others.. as long as they know how/when to water, this is all you really need to know.
Props on the write-up!!
I used your schedule when I first started about five years ago and had success first time and have been using ever since. Over the years I have added one of the "dirty dozen" and each time I have seen and improvement. The products cha-ching and beastie bloomz made the most difference but only use 1/8 tsp/gal as more seems to have some bad effects. I only grow autos so open sesame is not needed, imo. Another product, sledgehammer, has also been helpful and not only clears out the salts but seems to act as a wetting agent. I use pro-mix bx but always get some spots a week or so into bloom, (cal def?). This last grow I added one cup of lime to a five gallon airpot and let it sit for a month but I still ended up with spots. I think I will try the black gold, the color of your plants are great.
I actually don't use either of them. Big bloom is a micro/macro activator basically. So it can be used throughout the grow. I've always left it out as I never saw any benefit from it. I've never used beastie blooms but have thought about giving it a shot.
