So pissed off.

I've got three Dutch Passion AutoUltimates, two of which are bushy dwarves and the other is 2.5 ft tall but spindly and stretched with most of it's leaves turning yellow - two Blue autoMazars from DP, they too have tiny thin leaves and while well formed, are totally stunted. In back up I have four normal photoperiod Liberty Haze, in Plagron Light mix, apparently hard to grow but they are really doing well at day 18.

So this is my 5th ever grow, I have an advanced nutrient based detailed schedule with airpots in light mix soil mixed with 30% extra perlite and 20% coco coir, with previous efforts yielded amazing results. I have had help with everything from a very experienced grower friend and also talking to Tang.
I was previously very sure that I could rely on myself to not cock up.

What did I do wrong? A moment of madness in the grow shop.. I pointed to the bags of soil, and the bags of coco coir. The soil was the one I used last time wasn't it? It had been 4 months and I just didn't slow it down and look at the exact type of soil. What was it? It was BioBizz AllMix. It's way too hot for autos. It is designed as far as I know for transplanting grown mother plants into, they LOVE that stuff once established, but not autos. Any nutes you may add after is going to send the ph through the roof plus there's the added stress of roots finding extra hot hotspots of nutrient rich lumps of material which confuses and stumps the growth. In a word it sends return signals to the plant to tread carefully.

I have loads of yellowing leaves which I have attempted to address with 40 - 60 litre flushes in 15 litre pots, it helped a bit to get the ph down, but it's just been a complete nightmare. If it wasnt for a lack of funds I would've just started over. My schedule is ph and ec perfect if you stick to the method.

DO NOT USE BIOBIZZ ALLMIX EVER.

End of story, lesson learnt.

:slaps:

:Sharing One:..feel your pain, mate! You're the 4th person in the last month that has shown up with Biobizz soil issues,... others, some who are (claimed) using the Light mix, we're getting nute' burn symptoms anyway,... the All Mix has fer'ts preloaded in it, making it waaay to rich for starting soil for auto's, maybe even for auto's period (NPK #'s were all in the teens- :slaps:)... stunting can happen, even if there's little sign of nute burn (yellow/browned out tips, etc.).. I strongly suspect that's what happened here,...

The guy in the shop said the ALL MIX is way too hot for any seedlings, not just autos. But Autos have a predetermined life. We need a neutral medium where we can control the ph. This stuff will be all over the place and you never know if those leaves dying is over or under watering, testing run off came in at 7.6ph initally.. I did the flush, all I can say with a worn out look on my face is - Only use Plagron light mix or the Plant magic light mix, or coco coir if thats the technique used. Don't end up like me folks. It's an expensive mistake.

I used it fine first indoor grow last summer with three different autos. And added nutes. Only didn't buy it again through laziness/growshop caution.

That's kinda scary, I didn't know they nuted it up that high. Worse is, the marketing and packaging makes it seem like it's gods gift to the soil world lol! Meh... I'll stick to mixing my own soils lol. Then I can just blame me hahaahaa :)
