Indoor Think Different DWC Budmaster 405watt LED light

Hi Guys

I'm back again to give this another go with a new light. My original LED was bleaching my plants no matter how far away I had it, the guy I got it from has since admitted that other people have also had this problem and is going to swap it for a new light from the same manufacturer as Hydrogrow.

However, before I knew I would be getting the light swapped a very kind and knowledgeable man called Paul from www.greenlights-ledgrowlights.co.uk offered to give me one of his new Budmaster LED lights in return for keeping a diary online for him. I'm using a 405watt version but a good range is available from www.budmaster-ledgrowlights.com If you have any questions I'm sure Paul will gladly answer.

The equipment I will be using for this grow is as follows;

1.2 x 1.2M Tent
4" Ruck Fan and Rhino Filter
405watt Budmaster LED light
2 X DWC Oxypots
Hailea V60 Air pump

Formulex
Canna Aqua Nutes
Canna Additives - Rhizotonic, Cannazym, PK 13/14, Boost, Flush

My plants have been growing for a week now so I'm on day 7 from seed

I've grown 3 plants with the aim of reducing to 2 further down the line. One of the plants is a bit of a mutant so unless one of the others turns out to be a hermie I'd imagine it will be that one that gets taken out.

At the moment my ph has crept up from 5.8 to 6.0 and the ec is at 0.80. Plant 1 in the photos has it's tap root firmly out the bottom of the netpot and is about 5 or 6 inches. The others still have no visable roots in their res. Plant 2's new growth is slightly yellow, conditions seem ok so not quite sure why?

Sorry that the photo quality is a bit rubbish but the camera was out of power so I used my phone instead. Will do a mid week update with better quality pics.

Light looks like going down the hydro grow road as do many others. these lights will be getting cheaper and better all the time. good news for the grower!

whats the actual power draw on your 405 watt version? Any chance of a picture of one of the modules so we can see the colours of the LEDs please.

Thanks for taking a look. I believe the actual draw is 300watts but I'll check it out and confirm for sure. When I do my mid week up date in the next few days I'll be sure to include a few pics of the light for you. Unfortunately I'm not at home right now!

Were the problems with your original light due to some chips in the 280 to 315nm range? That is what it sounds like caused the problems. Hope all that got sorted out, you have some great genetics there best of luck to you.

Hi Guys

Before I change my res's can I have some opinions please. My plants have slowed right down and are yellowing a bit, they also look a bit limp. My ph had crept up to 6.1 but I lowered it back to to 5.8 I'm using formulex, ec's are .82 and .84 room temp is around 21c with res about the same. Humidity is mega high at 82% though. I've been a bit scared to turn my fan on yet as I'm scared of ruining the CF (I don't really want to take it off as it's built in to a home made silencer) Also I checked my ph pen with a buffer solution and it's fine. Any suggestions/ideas?

Hey buddy. How close do you have that beast of an LED? It looks like you have some bleaching going on, I just had a problem with this(non LED) but I know LEDs are somewhat troublesome on that.
