just quickly i want to jump straight in the deep end and go for dwc but was told i should start in soil... what is your advice having had both?

I personally found dwc very easy but I'm the sort that does tons of research and was very diligent on daily routines, monitoring ect.

Soil is much more forgiving beyond a doubt and I would always recommend starting that way as a new grower.

I actualy found hydro to be easyer than soil. But like midwest I did ALOT of research first.DWC works great but takes alot of work imho.I prefer ebb and flow using a bucket system like the multi flow system.Easy as pie.

If you have done it with success roll with it. It's too hot for a lot of strains though. Depends on other aspects as well. Don't fix it if it's not broken. Grow on. :smokebuds:

I start of in ffof and I have not had any problems. Sounds like you have a lot of experience using it so you already know not to give any nutes for a couple weeks. I use rapid rooters and then go straight to the final pot of ffof. Good luck dude sounds like you have a nice setup.

Yes, I have used it quite a bit. I'm putting these puppies to Germ this weekend!

I actually decided to do a mix with FF soils. I always prefer to put straight to final pot after taproot pops so I'm doing the bottom 2/3's of my pots with straight FFOF. The top 1/3 will be a 50/50 mix of FFOF and Light Warrior (This entire mix will include added Perlite fyi and Dolomite Lime)

This will reduce any chances of stress/burn on the seedlings and once they develop a decent root structure they will have the the full pot of FFOF below waiting for them.

Nutes - Yes, I won't begin the feed until a couple weeks in of course.

The ladies have popped!

And we go again. Quick update. Odd curling I saw worked itself out with new growth. I'm of the mind it was some sort of burn while still in seedling stage. Luckily I think having the top 1/3 of pots ffof and light warrior was a good choice. They are exploding each day.

A few are slow rollers, but they still look very healthy to me now.
