Hey @megalexxx are you saying the ppm is 1700 ? Or is this an EC reading,,if it is ppm that may be a little to high and possible contributing to the issues.sorry I'm in coco and have no experience with hydro either,maybe try the live help thread ..peace !!

if you dont mind, whats the dosage you are applying these nutrients at per gal? also, id recommend a weekly res change, you will find the ppm starts to drift dramatically past a week as the girls take all the good stuff out of solution. if you have a hot room, the opposite will happen: the increased rate of transpiration will encourage the girls to drink alot but not eat, making the ppm rise

Hi guys. Is an Ec reading of course. I live in europe and we use liters instead of gal, dont blame me for this XD

Honestly i dont know the exact dosage for the nutes. For every phase i use a different Ec so is impossible to know the dosage. A weekly res change? I have read that a weekly res change is really too much. Many sites says that u should change the res avery 2 or 3 weeks. And my Ec dont drift too much. I have a 150 liters reservoir so is pretty stable.
However i will soon open a grow diary so i can show my setup and all the phase of the babies

Not familiar with the nutes but I'm guessing if they give a pH reading of 5.6 they're not heavily buffered and the pH should drift. Does the pH of the res change over time?

If starting as low as 5.6 you really need it to drift up but if EC is remaining high it may not be able to drift up. If pH doesn't drift up over the course of a day or two I'd add water to raise the pH to 5.9 by lowering the EC and see how it goes from there.

No point having the EC right if the pH is wrong...... I think of pH drifts as being a bit like a 3 course meal.....start with some nice hot soup, warm main course and then a cold pudding. You don't want to be eating hot soup all the time....skip 'em up to the main course and see if they then want pudding lol.

From what I understand once your roots are well out of the rockwool the "best fit" for a static pH is 6.0.

If getting good swings ideally I'd knock it back to 5.6 but I like to see it up over 6 again pretty quick as controlled pH swings seems to lead to bigger EC drops and that tells me they are eating and hungry for more. A fairly static pH and EC suggests to me they aren't eating much and it could be because you are restricting the pH range and not allowing them to access some nutrients in the required ratios further up the range.
