New Grower think different

Of course I understand a more powerful light would be better but have seen alot of grows where cfls are used at the start and seem to yield fine. I just hate waiting and starting under the cfl cuts out 2weeks of waiting pot up and then under the 600w. This is me giving me autoflowers their last chance otherwise im back to photos and will just have autos in a veg room when i move.

Very bad idea as it has been tried. CFLs will end up stunting the flowering and it's hard to play catch up even after the switch. TDs just don't like CFL wavelengths. You're much better off running the HPS all the way through.

Well only one way to find out. 9 td in 9litre pots. Hope i hit 9oz and with this strain and all ive seen im fairly confident

Ninja you serious? Have you seen other peoples td journals? They are beasts! I think you should easily get 9oz. Be sure to lst it. I'm waiting till maybe summer time to run a think different, right now I'm finishing up strains from my first ever autoflower grow... Than I got in line to auto super skunks, two easy Ryder and trying like hell to get some dragons going... They'll germ I'm sure.
I really think your goal will be attainable ninja. Sending nothing bit karma your way! Did you pop the beans yet?

Lol well i thought id hit 9oz from 8 cream caramel and freebie critical jack but i think ill struggle to hit 6 lol but i did stunt them i feel with problems i had regarding watering n soil holding moisture. My cc are week 6 today and coming down at week 8 or 9 more so because i gotta share this grow with my brother but he is moving out so the td will be all mine lol. I have seen other diarys and been blown away. I was shown a 400w hps grow and the guy hit over a gram per watt lol im not expecting that i think better to always look at worse case. I will germ 12 seeds allowing me to cull 3 should at a later date. If i hit 9 id be happy but of course ive seen people hit 2oz per plant and that still gives me less than gpw. Cant wait to get started gonna order seeds ect within the week. They will get put under the cfl when my cc have a week left inside the tent that way i cut some time. Thanks for the kind words

They might well surprise you man... 've yet to get my hands on some beans... but they sure are impressive from EVERY thread I've seen. And I've got a fond spot for DP anyway...:smelly:

I've had better luck vegging my autos under cfls than I have other light sources. My seedlings Love floro.

CFLs do not stunt plants ive grown with CFLs from start to finesh and they are spot on and its up to the user to get the rite node spacing but all my plants have been over 3Ft:beast: As for the wavelength canna loves CFLs just as much as they Do HPS MH and LEDs. :boob::boob:

I've grown the last 2 grows this year, both Himalayan Blue Diesel in a tent started under 3 CFL's for 21 dayz from sprout, then over to 600w MH for 10 dayz and on to 600w HPS and oh yeah...still got CFL's for passive side lighting
Take a peek at a couple of my albums from earlier this year...same thing, with an HBD that went 23 1/2 " AND was grown in a tent with 2 photo periods (until the switch to 12/12), so just my , but I think you'll be OK with the CFL's, but then I only grow to fill my jars, no commerce. Best of green growing karma to ya!
