So, my White crack is full of thrips, today I was chopped her. I don't want to throw away buds. I know if I dry them, thrips will also die because they eat only fresh plant. But... I don't want to smoke dead thrips.

What to do?

Water cure- they will fall off buds into water?
Canna oil- heat will roast/cook them?
Alcohol tincture alcohol will detox them?
Just air dry them and then shake? Won't trichs fall down?

Dip them would my first thing to try. Are you sure they are in the buds? They can "jump" to other plants, they don't have well controlled flight. More like a jump. The life span is 45 days, and they become adults quickly, about 10-15 days. I would clean the crap outa whole grow room if it were me. Thrips are resistant to many insecticides. After your grow, once the room is clean you might find some traps for them to monitor if they are gone or not. Since you are almost on harvest anyway, it would be possible move them to a quarantine area for 10 days and hope that all the eggs hatch and jump ship before you cut them down.

I wouldn't be the slightest bit worried Koopa. Just dry and cure like normal. I guarantee you that you've been smoking and eating bugs (as we all have) for your entire life. :yoinks:
Fact is that we unintentionally munch down about a pound of bugs every year. :glutton:

Yea, I shake some buds on white paper and they are alive and dancing at paper.
I still waiting for spinosad and neem oil (order through ebay), so I only can wait. When I'll receive package, I will spray all tent walls, all pots, all plants... Now I can't do anything, just wait.
What mens "dip them"? Sorry, english is not my mother language.

it would go something like this:

Keep the plant in branches, not buds and trim as u normally would. Or cut whole branches that will fit in the bucket and be thick enough to hold the weight of the buds.

Get three 5 gallon buckets set up.
The first bucket is room temp h2o and 1/2 cup baking soda and 1/4 cup lemon juice.
The second is warm to hot water, not scalding
The 3rd is cold water.
Dip branch in first bucket, agitate lightly, cycle through remaining buckets and hang to drip dry for a day. Continue drying as u normally do.

This would sink thrips or what?

:cuss: damn Konop', that f'ing bites! Gotta keep closer watch mate, thrips do leave tell-tale scarring on the leaves,... GG' here has advised well, about the only thing you could do,.. I did this risne too, to test smoke improvement, though not with warm/hot water, just to not muck with the terpenes loss,... It worked well, buds were fine! ... live ones will bail after a short while, as the plant dries and juices stop flowing,... On drying, I spun mine around by the branch base to let centrifical force throw off some of the excess,.. not wildly mind, and slow down gently so they don't get thrashed about by the G-forces,...
