You will need to moisten it well. Depending on how dry the mix is before adding water, I would say 6-10litres.

That's like 25% of water added to the mix. Isn't that too much? Or this is exactly how cooking works?

EDIT: Actually you were right, I added 6 litres and the soil is still moist, not wet.

I should keep it moist at all times until use?

Moisten your mix thoroughly until you can reach into it and grab a handful, squeeze and it sticks together but only for a moment. It should easily fall back apart after only a few seconds or with a gentle prod.

ok I do that kinda make it like boggy with the coco parts ..and then it's usually dry if ud move it in ur hands ..
And I also used panty hose I've the cover then the loose lid. .for any taker extra protection for the gnats flies ..

You don't want it to dry out, but you won't need to add much water to maintain the moisture level.

Has any of u experienced ...using Fresh Vermi compost tea as a base ..
I know alot of recipes are Powdered EWC ..but for a Vermicompost and fresh tea mad from rain ..
Today I was looking at it as I was watering some of the Plant out side and I could see micrscopic worms ...very small but could see them ..
Is tha baby WORMS maybe ...

I dunno It was in a Tomatoe container outside ..
I'm thinking i just innoculated ma 20 gal container with worms ...

Do you still see the worms? where they lil white like hairs moving around?Im going to add DE neem and azomax to my mix..Is there anything that just works to kill bugs?I think pest control should be high on the list !

Naa ...
My tomatoes are just fine tho ...i use a panty hose to strain the water now ...it only happen once to Swamp ..
I'm sure it is worm ..but I did cover a been soaked burlap sack ..with a layer of sand for a few weeks now ..
The worms seem to love a new home ...
I have my old vermicompost with potatoes and using it basically as a breeding bin ..
The red wigglers dominate any garden fast m..
I wish I could do a video when I go array a little around the garden ..they get in there fast bro ...
And from that company there championship compost awarded worms go figure ..!!!

There tea is making some serious improvements...i catch a gallon dilute a gallon ..and talk about foliar spray ..
U can add molasses and you will get head like in Vegas mm

It has been a better part of my diets in growing ..

And I could add that that tomatoe plant and whole pot has been chopped and is being re grown with small amounts of food ....
It never had problems .

Hey X if I want to make L's tlo but I have nothing to start with, should I just buy a few bags of Fox Farm Ocean Forest Mix 50lb for the compost part?
