Have you had the well water tested? It might have high mineral content that is locking out what you added to the soil.
yeah, I wasnt gonna go all into lockups caused by hard water... but its a very big problem.. and possibly partially behind your problem... which is why I reccomended flushing... sicne I doubt you have any pepzyme around... and gypsum takes time to break up salts and calcium type hard water deposits...
Hey
Torched thanks for chiming in.
jm, thanks for checking back in brother. I have gotten my water tested for micro-critters and phosphate levels, as we used to have a smallish chicken farm not far from us. They for years sprayed their fields with the chickenshit, thus finally leaching into the soil and reaching the upper part of the water table. But to answer your question, no I have never have had it tested for mineral content. I don't believe it is very hard water though, as I have lived with hard water before.
I should have read this book way before now, but I have read a good portion of The Rev's book on TLO today. I have a good idea of where the lock-out came from, but I am not saying my waters mineral content comes into play here as well. With my OD grow last summer and several autos I have grown before this with just water, and a shot once in a while of molasses with a mico chaser. What I did different with these girls was to add liquid Si, 0-0-3 with every watering it was only half strength, I just checked with the water that I typically use, drum roll please
7.0, bingo! There in lies not only the possible causation of the lock-out, but also sacrificing the microherd as well= no nutrient uptake. Flushed 10 plants last night and them gave them some molasses and micos.
Ordered an Accurate 8 PH soil tester today, as none of the grow shops in town had one. All they had were $10.00 ones and $200.00 ones. Muddy and Piggy swear by the Acu 8's though.
Should of had it before I ever started growing. Oh well, way I really learn through hands on experience. Like Oh, shit I will never do that one again!
Off to do some more reading, find out the whats and whys I am growing in TLO.
Thanks again guys.:tiphat:
