New Grower too old to change i guess

im a 60 yr old country boy!!!im alittle hardheaded and old fashion.i grew up in the country and have grow outside for many years and cant seem to change when it comes to farming.i have grow inside this past year and learning every day and the plants seem to grow pretty good.however--i have never tried a ph meter---or any fancy test equiptment or ferts.i use fish ferts and a cheap bloombuster at walmart--and promix.im sure those things work fine but i go by looks of plant to figure what she needs!!you know--cant teach an old dog!!i guess i hate change even though it might help!!!oh well-----

Dude carry on doing things the way you do,your method produces the prettiest plants on this site in my opinion.

As far as I`m concerned, it looks like you`ve got your system and it WORKS! Judging by the pics you post, it dosen`t seem like you need to change/improve much, if anything! Keep on posting pics etc. please:smokebuds:

Title should be for this thread "NO REASON TO CHANGE I GUESS". Don't break something that still works man. I'm with J Tang some of the most beautiful plants on the site. Don't change a thing unless you look to experiment and just branch out for knowledge. Cause what you do works!!

Little T you are man after my own heart. I too am near your age and am mostly an outside farmer. I am moving inside for the winter and am mixing the super soil now. They say with this there is no metering or adding any nutes, just water and light. I like to keep it simple and do what works. As I listen to the newer growers talk, it sounds like a full time job getting a plant to grow that is at it's heart a weed.Just like you I go by the looks of the plant, not some artifical scheldual. For instance, when growing photos outside, I look at the newest leaves at the end of the limbs. This is where most of the new growth is happening. If there is ANY yellowing, I give them a large dose of ammonia nitrate and lots of water. They put on a burst of growth then show yellow again. You can easily double their size every few days. You must learn to listen to your plant and just give it the help it needs and nothing else. Great looking plants by the way!I like the purple, very artistic.

if it aint broke dont fix it

i dont use ph meters /fans /tempmeters /bionutes and i use energysavers and for me theres nothing wrong with it
