Lighting Too Soon For Each to Have Their Own Autocob?

4” fan would be more than enough for the space as well. 6” is a lot bigger, heavier, louder and more expensive. I’m not up to date on brands unfortunately. I traded an oz for my 2 - 10x48 fan filter combo about a year ago. Before that I just ran cheap ipower filters. They suck! The lip that’s used to connect the two or connect the ducting is smooth and tapered in the wrong direction. I did everything to secure it and still walked into 100+ degree temps when the ducting slipped off.
Thanks for the warning on those ipower, I’ll be sure to avoid them at all costs. So, since I last posted I had to move my tent. It’s now in a cooler area (19-20C) compared to the 22C it was in. So that kinda forced my hand and I’ve equally spaced the girls across the tent with an autocob above each plant. I just finished this about 45 minutes ago so I’m going to check on them in an hour and see how they’re doing. I have the lights about as high as possible right now.

and how high is as high as possible?

You can use a heater in a tent instead of lights, if you're getting problems with too much light.

About 4 feet right now. I’ll measure to be exact when I check them before bed. This may sound odd, but I’m not comfortable putting a heater in the tent but I’m afraid that I just might have to because I’m kinda doubting that the 3 autocobs can take the tent from 19-20 to above 25C. Just had an idea... perhaps I might try wrapping most of the tent with a duvet I’m not using. That might just do it!

You could always throw a blanket or something like it over the tent. I do this in winter with my drop cloths. Layers and layers. Even draping down the side helps even if they aren’t tight. I would slide my hand between the cloths and the tent and feel the warmth. Any little bit helps. Not sure how permeant this is. I also had a cold floor too. What I did was put a piece of 2” foam below the tent. Then a layer of plywood slightly pitching it forward. This insulated the floor for me which was huge and the pitching helped clean up any water that may have spilled or run off. Just some ideas that may help.

Couldn’t help but laugh after reading your post as I just finished wrapping my tent with a goose down duvet. Floor is cold as well but I have a layered blanket between the floor and the tent. Put a bucket of water in there as well to help raise the humidity. Measured the light distance to canopy and I’m at 44in. Some may cringe but I decided to attach the reflectors tonight to see how they fair considering the distance is quite a bit. I’ll post some pics in the morning.

Okay, the good news is I’ve been able to maintain temps at 25C- bad news is humidity is 39-40%. I know it’s not the end of the world but I would’ve been much happier if I could have had it at least 10 points higher! So the autocobs w/ reflectors on were no threat to the plants at 44 inches. I’m off today so I’ve got some time to monitor them so I decided to lower the lights and see how they react. I'm going to check on them in an hour or two. They’re now at 30in above the canopy. Here are a few pics from a half hr ago.

Why is that humidity bad news? That's pretty decent RH. If you were hoping for 60% or something I don't think it's going to make much of a difference. And when they flower you want lower anyway.

I was hoping for higher in early veg and veg as it’s my understanding that promotes faster and more vigorous growth. As for flower, I’m all good with those temps and humidity.

I don't think you would notice the difference in a controlled experiment between RH=40 and RH=60. If your temps are good and RH around 40 and lights are dialed in, you can worry about other important stuff (that does make a difference) at this point and don't worry about RH. But do monitor it. Or get a cheap lower capacity humidifier and set it on low to medium and you'll probably get above 50% or more. But then you have to worry about mold, which is not a good thing.

I also raised the light above the runt of the litter and gave her a straight RO water feed as I’m thinking some of the waterings she received over the last little bit might have been more than she needed. Humidity is now @ 47% since hanging the damp towel in there.
