I just ordered (2) 300 watt original marshydro panels. Will I need to add some uvb light to my closet?

My Mars II, 400w panel gave me a pretty good, pretty frosted out yield, with no additional UVB light source, so it isn't necessary. I hope to finish off this grow with some, though, just to see if there is a major difference. I need to start looking into that soon. I heard that the bulbs that are used in reptile tanks, and can be bought at a pet store, are good. Any opinion on this?

Thanks Bandit, I have heard the same things and will probably go ahead an add some when I start my grow. I would be interested to hear back from you when your current grow winds up.

I can Second that if you look at my Mephisto Tester thread all you see is Frost and i did lil research that warm white cool white combo has a simmilar effect than uvb on the plants..boost up the Resin.

Can someone tell me please is 17 inches the right height for seedlings and veg with the 300w panels. Thanks.

everyone is different. I have a 300w vipar and I start at 24 inchs. 17 might be a little close.

I think 17-24 inches is good. Maybe a few days after sprout.

1guy, I am on my third grow with the MarsII. Having great results without UVB. Congrats on the LED purchase.
