I just ordered one 96x3 reflective series for my 48"x24"x60" tent. I plan to use some extra cfl's for side lighting just because I already have them. I am still in the set up phase so any advice is helpful. I have 2 gallon smart pots and a 1 gallon air pot, the tent, two cfl 4-way splitters, two small desk fans, and my LED. My first grow is going to be Yoda's Dragon Breath x1 and Stone Dragon x1.
I will be using Tangs root riot germination intructions, promix soil, and Tangs AN feed schedule.
Any suggestions on lighting or hardware?

sound's like you got it sorted AK. I have the same light in a cab about the same size. for me it's the right size for me. coulda went with the 193x3 (?) but I like the little bit of wiggle room to add side lighting as needed. make sure you run the veg all the time when on as the bloom alone wont run the cooling fan's

how were you able to determine that your unit was fake. mine looks like a 300 watt mars hydro and has the name on it but after reading about fake vaporizer batteries I wonder if mine is a fake due to the high diode failure rate. I have lost 5 diodes in 400 hours I am replacing them with cree and Phillips diodes instead of asking for factory replacement but I purchased the unit from a reseller on ebay.

I bought a watt meter similar to the Killawatt. My 300 watt Mars Hydro old style draw 190-193 watts each. the "900" draws 247........less than half of what a 900 watt should draw. I emailed the seller 3 times about the low power draw, and got no response, so.......

I own 3 Mars Hydro lights, the 2, 300 watt units and a 180 watt UFO. All work perfectly. And My advice is, do like I'm going to do now, buy direct from their website

BTW my 180 draws about 118 watt!

On a different forum the Mars Hydro rep had posted a photo of many of the fakes and copycats compared to their models. I don't know If I'm allowed to post it here as it has 420magazine.com on the photo in a couple spots. But, if anyone wants to see it, it's on page 646 of the mars hydro light discussion thread. Maybe Tina will post it when they get on here in march. It makes for good reference if you're going to buy on ebay from different sellers. On some of the descriptions they note some dangerous things on these fake/copycat lights.

I need a Killawatt meter to check that over here. Since Yesterday im Runnin with 2x 180w Ufo and 1 x 300w Old Model. And i must say since the 300w is in all looing like Tie Fighters with the Leafes Up. Curious how the Tyrones like it for the rest of their Lives.
