Lighting TOPled The Manual.

I opened up the"900" watt light and as I suspected, ots seems to be a 450 watt light. The "6 watt" LEDS sure look like the old style. 3 watt type, and the drivers, well, its hard to tell from them, there's no brand name and Googling the part number finds nothing, but they look like 100 watt drivers to me. If I lived in Ca, I'd report this to the Attorney General so he could go after Ebay and all the thieving resellers that are selling these lights under different names. I'd love to see Ebay get busted for not cracking down on this type of blatant robbery, especially when they have been made aware of it and do nothing but give a refund.

Have been using the Mars 2 900 for a week or so, (directly from their site) and the units pulls 420 watts or so cold/startup. Don't know about when it gets warm, as I'd assume like with anything electrical, the resistance is going to increase as well as draw.

Thought there were 4 dead led's turns out they are IR... so far so good. Heavy light though, looked inside and a pretty good sized heat sink and unit seems to run at a pretty static or even temp so far, their fans move some air and seem pretty quiet IMO.

I opened one of my old style lights to clean out any dirt or dust that might have accumulated in it, so I got a good look and ot was well made, with good attention to detail on the wiring etc.

I'm very pleased with all my Mars Hydro lights, i've no complaints at all. I just wish I could getr rid of that 600 watt Metal Halide and hood that’s clogging up my shed.....lol!

I felt it had the bang for the buck, while still not hogging too much power. I'm trying to keep my total power consumption to 1kwh/hr. The Reflector also looks to have a good foot print. I also think its a little more efficient than the Mars II models

I have the 96X3 Reflector and wouldn't replace it for anything, I only have a cheap UFO to compare it to but both the footprint and the quality of light are a massive improvement, while the cheap LED lights tend to produce purple light the Reflector produces a much more balanced spectrum.

Saw a couple grows on youtube that had very nice results with those lights, but I wish they'd hurry up and ship...lol!

I had to e-mail them about mine. it came a week after that. took forever, but it's a nice piece. like medi said, a more balanced light.

Still waiting.....................

I was reading on that other site, there was some delays from dock workers labor dispute in California, thats been resolved now, may have been some of problem. Supposedly shipping container of stock was there. And they're back to work in China from holiday too, if you need order update.

My real issue at this point is the lack of communication, then today all I get is an email telling me they are on holiday, and how to check order status on the web page, which only says "processing", which tells me nothing. Also, your suppose to get an email when the item ships, didn't get one, but today in that email they include a fedex link showing it shipped yesterday. So, I'm glad that it has shipped, not so happy with customer service. If they can take my money, then there should be someone handling orders while the rest are " on holiday", not making excuses why they didn't answer my email. Maybe its a cultural difference, but if they want to survive in a world market, they need the adopt better business practices when it comes to customer service.

Pop is definitely a cultural difference, I have notice u get the best service is the uk, seems like everyone I deal with is a nices person I ever met. Usa is good but ull get some people who will bs you. I never had wonderful customer service when dealing with far east side of the world. Not that I have anything against them at all but I think their practices are completely different from what you find in the uk or usa.

Got my Light! This thing is Huge...lol! I've got it hung in the growroom and set to just veg lighting. Power draw when set to veg is 238.4 watts. A quick reading when set to flower was 370.8 watts. I'll post pics tomorrow. I'm going to build a bracket to mount this light and my two, 300 watt old style lights so that I can run all three during flower for my photoperiod plants. That wiould bring my total actual wattage to 750 watts for the growroom.Maybe for this first trial, i'll run it by its self for one grow just to see what I can do with it.
