topping?

Look into fimming, instead of topping. Fimming creates 4 heads instead of two with topping.

Topping autos is possible. However I wouldn't top fast autos as they wont recover or gain from topping. Longer bigger autos are good to top.

With all that said you can grow them as you please, after all it's just a weed.

You will not find better information on topping Autos than from @autobeast he is a legend in the work of topping Autos. His thread in this forum to read is https://www.autoflower.org/threads/auto-topping-thread-pushing-the-auto-limits.57281/

I top all of my autos at the 4th node. I learned from @autobeast .

After attempting a variety of cultivation techniques on multiple grows, I now top everything, always. It's not solely a matter of if, but when.

Strain dependent, but as a rule of thumb, my first 15 days are dedicated to establishing root structure, the following 15 days are dedicated to establishing plant super-structure (structure above ground) - everything else that follows, i.e.: extent of veg and flowering cycles is wholly dependent upon genetics and the first ~30 days.

Ideal growth conditions will see a 1st topping at day 14 and a second topping (multiple nodes for second toppings) at day 21. All my plants are lst'd from day 14 and defoliated continuously throughout all cycles.

Here is a previous example of this strategy as well as some current examples. Yield per/sf and qualitative consistency are hard to match.
