New Grower Trapper's Scrimmage Grow (Semi-Micro)

...The irony is imo photos are a lot easier because if something goes wrong you have plenty of time to figure it out, with an auto that clock is ticking so every decision you make has to start with that reality. In a couple of grows I'm going to do a couple photos because what I want to grow isn't available in an auto, the time will come I think when we won't be able to say that about any strain.

Yeah, I agree...:)

Skinnies on a large girl are always good in my book.:Sharing One:

I hear ya on the "old party line".
The few photo growers I've shown my girls to have converted, or at least, now understand autos are something to be reckoned with.
Not the party cup plants they were in the 90's.

I have a feeling the Devil will be persuasive enough to convert the non-believers.

Yup, I hope so....

But, ultimately, they don't need to know where it's at for ME to know where it's at.....:)

Thanks for the compliments and support guys!"AFN smoke out"

Really? Please give me details as to which photo strains vs auto strains you have grown. This will give you some kind of... credibility with such an atrociously bold statement as such. They both are difficult and provide their own special problems and needs, please see my grow journals for more info.

Btw trapper what camera do you use ?? Incredible shots. Im debating purchasing a decent one solely for grow pics.

I think all Medi is saying is that veg. cycle (on photos) is pretty much infinite as it relates to having spare time to prune, repair, recover, tailor, etc. to get everything lined-up for an orderly flip to flower where autos don't afford that luxury. My 2 cents.

The camera is a 4 or 5 year old Canon Powershot...nice features but the Custom White Balance is tough to figure out...maybe due to it's age.
Keep in mind that I'm a Professional Freelance Graphic designer so taking the shots is just the first stage in what I do before uploading. I don't monkey with
color saturation because that would be cheating but I do crop, adjust brightness/darkness, contrast, etc. ;)

Can't go wrong with any of the Powershot line of Canons though....just for a small, pocket, travel digital with good resolution options :)

Agreed Trap, that was my point. You're acting a bit defensive and adversarial Bobby. If something I said offended you I'm afraid you misunderstood.

Okay, Sorry guys...just me geekin' on some close-up bud sites again....Day43/PM

Growing is so much friggen fun! :)

Nothing wrong with a photo heavy growlog.
Cool to know your using a canon.
I use a sd780 powershot from '09.
Crazy good macro for a point and shoot.

Couldn't agree more... :Sharing One:

Clearly I misunderstood. I think I put too much heart into my ladies. . . :P I just think their both equally difficult, and one cannot say that one side is harder then the other. They both reward the grower equally and are both plants to be respected. Sorry for jumping on it, I need to get laid or something. Or smoke this tasty LA that's been sitting in front of my face for what feels like 50 years. Anyways, hope you all have a good grow season, ill take it a notch down :P

Looking great man..the buds are coming right along, I'm interested to see how they like the Beastie! Good news about your friend flushing for you if needed, I think she will need the extra time and it'll be worth it! Are you planning on flushing at all before the final flush? Been trying to keep up with this thread but it moves awfully fast! I've had good luck with Sledgehammer with photos and plan to use it next weekend on my ladies.

My wife is also a freelance designer.. she makes good money working from home and loves it! Probably puts in about 60 hours a week doing web/photo work for companies all over the world, pretty cool stuff.
