Over watering? as in volume of ml in a particular time frame? or Over FEEDING? as in the concentration of nutes? Or over watering as in too many ml per instance (2200ml at the moment, producing about 15 % Run-off)

Overwatering usually refers to creating such a damp medium that the roots do not get adequate oxygen.
Can mean just too much water , or too much water w/feed. So yes, too much in a particular time frame.
Will show as droopy weak leaves, with weak stems, and yellowing throughout plant

Overfeeding means too high of concentration of nutes or given to often in short amount of time.
Will show as burning tips and edges, dark green leaves, and clawing.

I gotta say the pics i see in this thread look fine. maybe I am missing something.

Thanks, gtron2

That IS what I took it to mean, just wanted to clarify in case he meant something else, because at 40 hours I am certainly not damp or moist anywhere...Like I've said before, when I water now, the pot feels like it's full of perlite...it's that light. I'm not predisposed to ignore or disagree with professional, veteran assessment or advice, but in this case, I think I have to follow my gut and the indicators my plant is giving me.

Hello, you and I seem to be learning about air pots and it appears the soil is what makes the differance. I use stright pro-mix ultimate, nothing added. If your root system develops well and you have good circulation the plants will transpire more, also air gets to all root levels equally. I have checked the root mass after harvest and the bottom half was full of small feeder roots. If you make a bowl from the soil, stem is low point, water slowly and it isn't too bad. My smallest plant, now 20in, goes thru almost as much water as quickly as my 40in plants. My probe shows water from top to bottom of the soil in my 3gal pots after 2000ml, with almost no run off and dry after less than 48hrs. Half the fun with this hobby is the different means to the same end. Your gut has gotten you this far, your plant looks great, go for it.

Yeah, the "watering slowly" bit I learned pretty early on...I have a little portion cup and I give 3 of those and go do something else...3 or 4 minutes, then again with another 3...so on and so forth. I've noticed a drastic change (for the better) since then in that the limbs don't get "waterlogged" or droopy at all pre or post nap time anymore. I need at least 1900ml-2000ml before getting any run-off at all as well....

It's so weird because I can tell when the plant is doing her thing....just out of nowhere, the RH will spike like 10 points with no changes external to the plant itself. :)

lol trapper,
I know whatcha mean! :P
the airpots are kinda tricky, they take way longer "for me" to water then normal pots...
seems like I have to give each pot 1-1/2" of water and then wait till it all gets absorbed into the soil and repeat 15-20 times each? lol...not sure on the number but seems like alot,I use to water each plant all at once, but now iv been watering each plant with 1/4gallon,then switch to next plant,1/4gallon then switch untill its all gone...
seems to work better I think,
one thing I have noticed about growing is this....
I do listen and agree with experts on autos, expecialy if they have crazy amounts of knowlage!
but the only way for us to "learn" is to make mistakes and learn from them..
Alot of what I do is my "gut" telling me to...regardless of how it turns out I go with my gut in the end...
and withen a few days,weeks..and month u see how good ur good was by how the plants are coming along,if there producing, stinky, resiney, sticky buds, then were doing somthing right! :D

Amen....:)

I will say this...I think, to a certain degree, I'm squandering this plant's potential a bit by not giving her more light....won't make that mistake twice. :)
