Trying out beans from Hush Seeds and a Private Breeder all from Autobeanstalk.com

After much fan fare, I have soaked for 12 hours and dropped nine regular beans from http://www.autobeanstalk.com. I am using muddy's tiered method. I have probably germinated 25 beans using this method since I started growing and I have had a great success rate.

The strains are:

3x Hush Seeds - Double Fun
3x Hush Seeds - Royal Diesel
3x A Private Breeder's - Diesel Ryder

I am really pushing my two 300w old model marshydro leds with this grow but as these are regular seeds optimally I would get two females of each strain but I will be happy with at least 1 of each strain. I randomly grabbed 3 seeds out of 20 that I had of each strain. I think my lights can handle 6 plants once they flower and I can add some cfl's later if needed. I have never grown more than 4 plants at a time and I can tell you that there is major difference in prep work required for 9 plants. It is a labor of love though that is for sure.

My soil is very simple (all from home depot and approximate amounts.) 2 parts top soil
2 parts perlite
1 part cow manure compost
1 cup of soil acidifier for 30 gallons

They are in a mix of 3, 2.5, and 2 gallon pots.

For nutes I have fox farms trio, kelp extract, cal/mag supplement, and unsulphered molasses. I am adjusting Ph with Advanced nutrients Ph down.

This is my first grow with regular seeds. I hope everyone follows along because I know that I will have some questions.

We have two new babies! Overnight one of the Hush Seeds Royal Diesel and one of the Hush Seeds double fun sprouted. I have never had a bean sprout this quick. I was thinking it would be tomorrow at the earliest. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come. I will take some pics once a few more pop. Have a good Friday my friends.

Maybe you could invest in one of these things? Such soil humidity meter can make a hell of a difference on harvest later on.

To not be out done 2 of my 3 private breeder's diesel ryders sprouted today. This is the quickest I have ever had any beans sprout. That is 4 beans in about 60 hours. In my limited experience it has always been between 3 and 4 days. Hopefully by tomorrow and Sunday they will all be up. So far so good. sharing one.

I have never seen a soil humidity gauge. I have a meter in my room checking humidity levels. The humidity runs between 45 and 65 %, I live in a place that has two seasons spring and summer. We are transitioning into summer and humidity levels jump way up. I watch it close and if it gets bad I will buy a de humidifier. Thanks for checking in guys. I wish I could fast forward 70-80 days.
