New Grower UFO LED's are LOUD! Need advice!

Whats up AFN.

I have some 90W Prakasa UFO LEDs. They're nice and bright for a 90W draw, 50 x 3W lights give me 150W output. The only problem is they're very loud!

They have 3 integrated fans and I don't fancy opening it up to tinker. What do I do?

The walls between houses round here are paper thin, do you think the neighbours be able to hear them at night?

I don't think there is much you can do about the fans, short of changing them to something more quiet. You could line the inside of your grow area with some 1" thick rigid insulation.

I work in construction and build houses,and I doubt very much yr neighbours will be able to here yr LEDs fans mate.the walls will be insulted and have plasterboard over them on your side,and on there side so I wouldnt sweat it pal :thumbs:

Thanks guys, that's put my mind at rest. It's just that the cabinet is next to the wall, and I can hear them next door if they open and close doors at night or early morning... You don't think they'll be able to hear it at that time do you?

No mate i wouldnt worry..my xboxs fan makes more noise than my LEDs fan does lol :smokebuds:

Haha okay cheers mate! I've got my xbox right next to the cupboard and they're making pretty much the same noise, these prakasas are a little louder though which was a surprise when I got them out the box! I guess it's essential though they get a LOT hotter than these cheapy LED's I bought from China... Lol!

slightly off topic but do you guys know how much or how often to water a 100% perlite hempy style party cup? would really appreciate the advice!

I can ask in the NGF but I thought just to save starting a new thread

Just water when necessary mate,lift the cup before you water,get a feel for the weight,do the same after a good watering.now you should be able to judge with the weight of the cup if its ready for more water or not..as the plant grows you will prob have to water more often :smokebuds:

Ok cheers mate. I heard it's impossible to overwater hempys but I think it probably is if I watered it every day.
I'm such a worry wart I think I need to forget about them for a while and smoke a joint :smoke:
