New Grower V: Twenty20 Mendocino Purple Biscauto

Day 13 : 7/1 Added nothing so far except the small amount of watering on day 10. Soil still damp to the touch but will probably need just a little touchup tomorrow.

Pics:

Righty with a strange leaf development issue. One of the triple leaves didn't quite form correctly. Not a big deal as it's early on and the rest look just great.

Close up: No idea what's up but eh! Happens.

Lefty: Just perfect! Look at this -

5th node appearing! Going to top once it sticks out enough to get blades on it..

Day 15 : Topped Lefty! 5th was sticking out just enough to get a set of blades on it cleanly.

Started light nutes tonight as well to help the plant along through the topping. Both plants got 500ml of distilled water with 220ppm of just Protekt Silica (to 50ppm) and FoliagePro (to 220) with a little pH down ending up at 6.3

TOPPED!

Righty:

I don't know what is going on with these leaves. Very strange appearance

Day 19: 7/6 Following a very light feed, water, water schedule at the moment. Ran in 300ml of water into each pot tonight. Still no runoff so maybe a larger soak tomorrow. I can see some nice white roots poking through the bottom of the container so I think everything is healthy top to bottom so far.

Gorgeous little plant

Day 24 : 7/11 - Middle of week 4. Plants are starting to take on a different appearance from each other. Lefty is more bushy and Righty is much more spread out. They've both been getting 400-500 ml of water each day following a feed, water, water schedule. I've added a couple BioAg products to help with nutrient absorption. Currently adding Ful-Power and Ful-Humix to the schedule.

Tonights additions:
400ml of 50/50 dechlorinated/dechloraminated tap water mixed with distilled water.
1/16tsp kelp
1/16 tsp Ful-Humix
pH to 6.5

Pics:

Comparison shot. Both were topped and some LST on both plants.

Nicely developing canopy. Several branches reaching up and I hope they all stay nice and even.

Right: Completely different looking plant. Long spread out branches.

Day 31 : 7/18 Chugging along! I believe I underfed as usual and have my typical yellow bottom leaves. hah! I'll eventually get it right start to finish. However, these are probably the best plants I've grown to date.

Gave them 900ml each of distilled water, got 10-15ml runoff
50ppm Protekt Silica
120ppm MagPro
300ppm FoliagePro
pH to 6.4

Got some nice pics tonight:

Looking good! I look forward to watching this topped girl spread out.

Day 36: 7/13 Left side was getting pretty bushy and tight through the middle. Attached some bamboo stakes around the outside and gently attached each branch to help pull them out and apart. The thin bamboo stakes fit really nicely between the dimples on the airpots. I zip-tied them to the outside so I didn't have to risk poking through any of the root mass.

Both plants are starting to develop visible trichomes. I cannot believe it!

Looks better if you ignore the yellow mismanagement at the bottom!

Zip those stakes

Stakes were cut to 36" - The light is currently at 14" above the top of the plant.(It's near touching the stakes)

I didn't take the Right plant out of the closet. It has a more open structure already. It's only using half as much water too. I think the bud development is further along and larger/denser than the Left.

Wow.

Sugar leaves.... whoo, this might be a good one if I can manage to not totally bodge the whole thing.

Well, I know that was a bit of a photo dump. Thanks for reading and looking!

Nute schedule: I have been going water/feed/water/feed the last couple weeks. It fixed up the yellowing so I guess these are just voracious plants.

Current feed is: 1000-1200ml distilled water to Left and ~600ml to Right - same blend
50ppm protekt silica
120ppm MagPro
230ppm FolPro
50ppm Bloom
Total: 450ppm
Keeping the pH to 6.3-6.4

Water days:
50/50 distilled/dechlorinated tap water, Usually mix up 1L and split it. Sort of a dry out day. The pots feel lighter but not light.
8ml/L BioAg FulPower
1/16tsp BioAg TM-7
pH to 6.6-6.7

I had been running the ful-humix until preflower started. BioAg recommends TM-7 through the change from veg to bloom. Once fully in bloom I will be using their CytoPlus product.
