Does anyone have any experience with vacuum sealing their herb for long tern storage?

i am starting to think of long term storage of my grow and as I have a vacuum sealing machine I wondered if I could get any info, advice on this storage system?

Thank you.

Don't see why it wouldn't work well. Keep it in a cool dark place after sealing it should last a long time.

W/ a sealing machine and a 62% Boveda pack the weed could stay good for a couple years in a sealed jar ...

just to clarify; the vacuum sealed bags would be put into jars with Boveda 62?

Not sure about a vaccum sealed bag inside a jar but just a mason jar with a boveda pack works for long term.

"55-60% RH- Long term storage stage. I still leave the hygrometer in for about a couple of days/week, just to make sure it's leveled off (unless I have placed a Boveda 65% packet in, then I take the hygrometer out). Once it has leveled off, then I take the hygrometer out & seal the jar. I don't usually storage too much for long term usually just 1 jar per strain per harvest, unless it's just some incredible stuff and I want to be able to share it with long distance friends & family when they visit throughout the year."

I understand the mason jar and Boveda system was just wondering whether vacuum sealing with a machine would also work.

My stash resides in 1/2 gal mason jars w/ a large 62% Boveda pack ... it stays good over two years w/o vacuum sealing but there is some aging that I think vacuum sealing would help .... I thought you had a machine that vacuum seals jars ... vacuum sealed plastic bag w/o the Boveda pack would work fine for long term of a couple years ... the cooler, darker, least oxygen the storage (not damp) ... the longer it will stay good ... up to years ...

thank you Chester :thank:

Hello, I have never vac sealed buds but I have heard of the disappointment folks have after doing so. Smashed up buds and broken/flaked off trichome. Boveda pack and Mason jar is certainly best. Pop the jars periodically and check humidity and you're in for the long haul
