Ok everyone.....I mentioned that "Whoever" said about not topping and chopping these was right, I said "Whoever" coz I have become EXTREMELY lazy since I entered the Stoned Ageand couldn't be bothered to look back and find out who it was.....but I did and it was @slowandeasy ...Top advice from this dude that I ignored, pretty much and what he said would happen....happened.......but I had to do it wrong for myself, to learn properly.......don't know why I am like this and it is annoying(for others)sometimes, but I don't mind admitting when I am wrong.....Thanks everyone

These ladies are down and one(the big one)has been chonged already haha......I apologise for the abrupt end of this thread, outside of AFN events have had all my time taken up recently, I will try to rectify all this truancy on my remaining threads haha....thank you for all your patience AFN......also, what I learnt thru this thread is that 2ltr pots are too small, for me....I much prefer the 3.8ltr and also whoever told me I am addicted to topping was right haha.....well done that grower!!!....and also I shouldn't have topped the one that had problems haha.........but I did, and it grew ok - ish......but it didn't do very well, size wize but it was a true Mephisto and frosty as f**k, so I dried the whole thing and its all going in the ice bucket for bubble hash....thanks again AFN

i spoke to you about this at the time there's no harm in topping as you know i do 90 per cent of my girls but the mainlining ect is upping it seriously slows your growth i mean if i grow 10-week strains i want them finishing at that and i only top healthy plants anyhow you learn by your mistakes and i admit i make loads :smoking:

i spoke to you about this at the time there's no harm in topping as you know i do 90 per cent of my girls but the mainlining ect is upping it seriously slows your growth i mean if i grow 10-week strains i want them finishing at that and i only top healthy plants anyhow you learn by your mistakes and i admit i make loads :smoking:

Its all good brother, I was just trying to help a fellow grower out! Some strains can take more stress than others. I have done a ton of Mephisto, so I have a decent idea of how most strains react. Sometimes less is more. Certain strains shut down if you stress them too much. BOG strains can shut down if stressed too much, and in general heavy Indica strains do not do as well with high stress training. I will be completely honest. Most Autos dont like the mainline training and it can extend the total grow time a lot and decrease yields. Photos can be vegged for weeks and have time to recover from the mainline. But Autos cant be vegged for extra time, they flower automatically. I know you like the shape and open look of the mainlining, but just know some strains will hate it. Peace, slow
