I think I follow you. And that sounds like more exhaust than intake. That is good I believe. But yes, pictures are best.

Ok I get it now. Cool. I think you need another exhaust fan in the top section to get all that air out. Are you going to get a carbon filter of some sort for the odor?

It is possible that could work for just a couple plants, but some get really really smelly and that may or may not cut it. You can also check out Ona gel, good product, but with differing opinions on how good it works.
