I noticed you looked at my grow, how cool is that I got PISTOLS woohoo, :dance: I would not have got this far without the help of AFN and Mr. Squid personally. I wish I had a closet like yours to start, then I would not have had to buy a tent. Like yourself I am trying low budget until I get it all figured out. My only regret so far is that my 125w cfl is not long enough to reach from one side to the other of just 2 plants. One plant it would be great but because of the shape and size of the plants it is just not long enough. but if you need to later on you can always add some small cfl like I had to, it was cheap and no big deal. It looks like you are a better carpenter than I am so it will be a breeze for you. Again Good Luck.

After 6 hours of test operation, I think the temperature will be fine. Start it from 22.4 C and after 6 hours the temp is 25.8 C.
I'm a little scared. When I turn on the lamp after a half hour I start to smell some strange odor... :S
I figured out its the reflector I think. Never use HPS set before, and the reflector is new to. I think when the lamp warmed the new reflector give the strange smell. Its a normaly thing? Not very strong, but noticeable. And the transformer to. I dont want fire in the house :S

sounds ideal make sure theres no plastic protector on the reflector
i know the 150w would not heat the place that much my cfl warms more than that lol

There is no plastic protector on the reflector. Today I start the set again, and after 20-30 minute a start to smell again...
3 thing can do it. lamp, reflector or the fans. The fans are home made set to. I use mobile phone charger for the propulsion.
I need to test the things one by one. (One time I make fire in the house by accident, I dont want to do this again.)

The germination will be OK I think. The seeds are in the 40-44 hour. The seeds are cracked, and I can see a 2mm sprout
Today one of my friend come and help to look through the electric things. After that I realy finish the preparation and can start the real grow!!

My seeds are small. 2-3mm. How big should be allowed to grow the root? They need a minimum of 1-2 days I think!
