Outdoor Waira's '18 Mixed Bag of Tricks Combo Grow

@TheMongol :bighug: deeewd!! --Very good to see you mate, you beat me to the punch here! I'm so glad the shite-storm blew over an away from you- :karmacloud:
Haaaa, get out, really?! Another 11 Roses on the circuit here- :greenthumb:... I gather, you've seen Don Skelly's :)bow:..aka Da Boss!) knuckle=dragger farm animal already....:vibe: Holy crap, right?! Oh, and our gal @Rebel has finished a couple few indoors, and she clan is:yay:-over her,... All I've seen of this styrain is ass-kicking good, her vigor is just fantastic,.. she really got the test with me, and that sack of monkey-crap Vermisoil I got that screwed up my first round of auto's, and the photo's didn't like it either, but 11R still blew them out the pots for growth,...:greencheck:
Because of this showing, and of course Skelly's success with other Delicious strains, I'm all over the other brand new one, Golosa = Blueberry/Sweet Tooth x Bay 11 -(damn fine Sativa I tried last year).. a very exciting cross! :hump:.... I'll make the rounds and loop by yours too brudda,..:pass:

Got a question for you , Do you think frost is strain orientated , or what you feed it .

:smoking: Hec'
mate,.... I think it all starts with the genetics for sure,... The simple axiom is even a Master grower can only do so much with an inherently (genetically) inferior strain, and never grow it into a superior one = :deadhorse: :haha: .... And we see here every day how new, even fairly low skilled growers can grow high quality genetics and still get a fine product at the end... It does take an excellent grower to get the most out of given genetics though, and a huge part of that is definitely nutrition... of course, light and env. conditions play their roles as well! That said, the truth of potency is more complex than just what the sheer abundance of trichomes brings to the table,... all that glitters ain't gold sometimes! Without a doubt, I've had strains/buds that didn't look all that impressive, but still kicked like a demented mule- :dizzy:.... and visa-versa! I can recall many years ago some indoor stuff that looked well trich'ed and smelled good, but packed little punch at all, ...we ragged at the seller for ripping us off with the "no-stone" shit he foisted on us- :cuss: .... Point is, one can have bud that isn't utterly frosted over with trich's, and easily match potency with one that is,.. What's in the trich heads, the THC%-wise, is the variable,.. and of course, the magic that the terpene profile brings! They can affect things like brain/blood barrier penetration rates (think fast and hard hitting vs. creeper, even if they're both the same in THC%), and what those terp's do themselves,.. AND then you have the actual real-life whole-package synergistic or "entourage" effect of the complete chemical pot including other rarer cannabinoids.
The African stuff I've tried has a definitely unique nature to the buzz; Malawi Gold, Red Congolese- :coffee::woohoo: :crisps:- pretty much sums it up!.... this is why I want you to try some real deal African and Asian (near)landrace genetics like that Lilly and Edy I mentioned,... Wild Thai (World of Seeds)... the auto version is superb across the board, so imagine what the photo' parent is like! I know already how you love your Central and South American Sati' chica's- :wiz:...... I cannot wait for next season already mate, the dance card is overflowing with choices as is, but one of those Original delicatessen African crosses is a shoo-in for sure, they have the speed to finish here for me unlike so many others,... even that Wild Thai would be a real gamble, ditto for Desfran,.. but I may try anyway!

I think maybe some of you would like to check out Swamiseed_ig on IG. Not sure what all he's working with but has some good looking stuff. Been really thinking of grabbing some for the vault. The blue orca haze and RKS crosses look :fire:

:baked:  y'all jogged my memory! I think Bodhi has an affiliate site called Nierika Seed Trust,... I haven't looked in while, so I'll revisit and check out the other suggestions too,...:thanks:

Everything is looking great @Waira :d5:
You mentioned air circulation issues... what are you using currently?
Re 707: you should get great results with it. Be careful though it can dry out rather quickly as roots fill it up. I use Aurora’s full soil lineup. 707 for starts, Roots Original amended with GBD’s auto mix for my autos and Greenfields for autos and photos. I find it to be very consistent as far as quality is concerned. As with all soil I treat with mosquito bits for the fungus gnats.

RE Nierika Seed Trust: you are correct. It’s a division of Bhodi seeds that deals with landrace genetics. He also has Supernatural Selections that deals with the same. Here’s a pic of my 4x8 Acapulco Gold from Nierika.

Landrace Legacy is a great place to get Indian genetics direct from the source with proceed going directly to the folks who are out hunting the beans:thumbsup: Great company.
Their drops are sporadic but seed is fresh from the source.

Swami is a great source for some old school American strains from the 60’s and 70’s.

Looking forward to watching your grow develop.
Have a great day my friend:cheers:

Have you ever grown any of swamis strains? Several look very much like what I would enjoy. I smoked Guerrero once a long time ago, still remember how stoned I got!

:smoking: Cheers Ronin, appreciate the input!...........I do like the Original soil too, always treated me right,... No doubt, the OD girls are liking the 707, and it's holding pH well so far,.. water there is a bit hard, about 200ppm, so I still do pH adjusting if needed with citric acid... served me well when running the Biotabs grow ... Where they are is close to the ocean, so conditions are cooler and sometimes foggy, a bit more so than the previous place,... they dry out just right so far, allowing me to add goodies as needed a few times a week,... yes!- to BTi inoculating :amazon: -- damn gnats,...
As you've seen, I really like this King's Mix- :greenthumb:...it's pretty light for a true soil, which is great for tent life! I'll be trying GBD mix in it soon,...:eyebrows:.... they make a smaller size bag than than the 3cf, maybe try one out and see sometime, I think you'll like it!
...the tent is outside in a small courtyard, so there's no carbon filtering and all that, just a clip-on for circulation plus what the DIY dual COB blows,... now it's clear it'll need a more direct draw or outventing,.. still night ambient RH% can be fairly high,...

Not yet... I have my eyes on a few of their strains. I Keep an eye on their IG feed for those limited release gems. I’ll have some Swami gear soon enough:thumbsup:

Re venting: My suggestion would be to run(24/7) an inline booster ($25 on Amazon) from one of the lower ports and push the hot air out of the top. I run all my tents this way. No carbon filters. As well I like to keep the venting flush on the inside so it doesn’t take up valuable floor space. It’s also convenient in that it makes directing the air flow into the canopy easy.
