...better late than never...

It's the same gig as usual:
- KIS Organics Nutrient Pack amended soil, though this year I'm using their new-ish Bloom Booster amendment. Last stage transplantings will be into soil with only this instead of the Nute Pack. After some chats with owner Tad, we concluded there was too much N loitering around by bloom because of the late transplanting strategy, which was having negative impact on bloom and buds... The Bloom Booster is, of course, lower in N content (different sourcing too) and has the desired elevated PK content.
- base soil used is Roots Organic Original

The first round of auto's is done now using the BB only soil and it was a definite improvement. They were also getting too much N during blooming, with the shorter life cycle and ill-timing of the amount of it still around during that stage...
I'm angling for near-water only inputs during veg', and PK boosting during bloom.
- additional supp's like Si, inoculoants, kelp, humic-fulvic, micronutes as always...
- other choice goodies from GreenLife Biotics -->

--- nice products, been using the LOM for years now. BloomSap is a new combo supp' which contains select carbs, fulvic, PK and micronutes... it's a handy combo to have at the ready, like it so far on the auto's -

-- Crazian (Wild Bill)... a cross of LBH's Asian Haze x Crazy Kush (Jeano's Genetics); newly made, think I'll be the first OD test of it but both parents are OD stars and are semi-auto's themselves
-- Fast Orange Cake (Real Gorilla Seeds; Orange Pink grapefruit x Fast Lemon Cake)
-- Pineapple Poison (SSSC)
-- Mango Sapphire (HSO)
-- MoB/OGK x C99a (Stickman)... semi-auto
-- Speed Racer (Lilac Diesel x The Duke auto) - and also - (Lavender/Mixed Purps x C99a) x NL <--- both Jeano's crosses; grew Stickman's LMP99 last year, very nice! ...had some trouble with SR germ'ing; got one after all but late in the game, meantime the other cross was started as alternate.


Auto's: round 2 just started
-- Rootbeer Float (Jeano's) ...last one was super fine, carried namesake aroma too...
-- Mango Stick (Laughing Hyena) ... Mango Thai x Lil'Stick .... landrace derived stuff- Lil'Stick is one of the very best auto's I've had to date, fantastic high...
-- S99v4 (Stone/Portal) ...always excellent stuff from brother Stone!
-- * TBD .... not sure yet, I want to try RGS' Pink Runtz, but I do need some CBD content stuff so likely a CBD HazeXL (repro by Stick)...also have private breeder Sawney's outstanding goods to further explore

...only room for two so we'll see...

I'll back track on the first round of auto's a bit later... Gotta get the photo' teens up first!
It's been a wonky germ' season this year, some things popped easy, others were a struggle and no culprit to finger for it... chalk it up to the Bad Germ' Juju gremlin that visits many of us on occasion -

-- Veg' prime time is well under way! FOC and Crazian are now into their final bloom-soil pots, Mango Sapphire and Pineapple Poison will go in the next day or 3...
The soil isn't fully cooked yet, but the former two were crankin' along fast enough that they had to get bumped up... At least the Bloom Booster mix is very fine, no chunky bits slow to break down. It's nice and stinky too
Some topping and LST work under way as well... Late topping has worked out well for me, though it makes for some funky looks sometimes- This trick does two great things for me:
-- no more single fat main colas, which more often than not are first and worst for the damn Rots which fooks that fun up
-- laterals don't have time to blow out much side branching, so I get more chunky side-nuggs and mini-colas instead

The final pot soil is all Bloom Booster 2-8-6, still enough N to snack on and elevated PK of course... The auto's did better in this as well. It seems the N sourcing in the BB vs. the Nute Pack is part of the difference and improvement, something about NP's timing/release rates made it not so good for such late transplantings and too much N around at the wrong time.
Anyway, we'll see as this is the first year trying the BB, but I think it's the ticket!
