Hi Guys
Seeing that spring is around the corner for you growers in the Northern Hemisphere, and not wanting to miss the party from the South, I have decided that I will be joining a number of your guys comps running.

1) 2 Litre pop bottle photoperiod grow
2) Outdoor grow auto or photoperiod

So I decided to kill two birds with one stone, I will be growing an photoperiod AK47 from GYO Seedbank in a 2 litre coke bottle, in a Hybrid grow she will be vegged outdoors (but will move indoors to get atleast 18/6 lighting in the veg stage) and she will then be flowered in our Autumn sunshine (around 8 weeks)

I am then starting a perpetual grow in my Autoflower cabinet as I have a girl, who should be finishing up in about 3+ weeks ( https://www.autoflower.org/threads/1st-timer-grows-auto-nl-under-100w-of-diy-citizen-cob.57591/ ). I will be growing another Vision Seeds Auto Northern Lights.

I chose the Coco subsection, as this is going to be the only common factor in both grows.

So a bit about my setup.

My cupboard is about 50cm x 50cm x 160cm
100w of Citizen COB 1212's 3k spectrum
hooked up to a Meanwell HLG-185-1400B
1st Grow (Current grow) - 3 gallon smart pot

Now I will be setting up the following
1 gallon plastic pot - Auto NL
2 Litre pop bottle - AK47
All mixed with Coco and perlite at about 70/30
I have Nurtiplex 3 part series nutrients, which from my understanding could be a re-brand of General Hydroponics 3 Part Flora Series.
So far I have not added any CalMg to my current grow but we will see how things go along with this grow (believe my tap water is quite high in the Dolomite lime)

Both girls have been dropped into a cup last night and have since sunk to the bottom and have been transferred to paper towel.
Pics to follow at day 1.

Going for the 2 litre challenge Walt?!! All the best with that, I think mines to far gone to be entered :( lol
Nice to see the AK bursting through and ready for a life of luxury haha
Subbed in mate
She was a small seed (compared to the Auto seeds)
Thanks Bud for the subbing up, yeah going to the 2 Litre challenge, probably wont get a top half finish as the nutrient line I am running and additives I have are far inferior to what others run, so finished product will be interesting to see.
But alas, its part of the learning curve, and hey, nothing wrong with some healthy competition might end up surprising myself.

Take a clone off of your girl and drop her in a 2 litre. Sure you can squeeze her into your spot. some heavy training and the like and you good to go.
She is a pretty girl after all

Wow I think you've just inspired me pal!
Don't I need clonex though? This means i have to ask the boss for more "drug stuff" lol I hate it when she rolls her eyes at me hahaha!

Probably would help getting a rooting gel, but if you graft the stalk properly I dont think the rooting gel would be needed, but certainly would push the process along quicker.
I have cloned other plants without a rooting gel, so yeah, same principle should surely apply.

What do you think of northern lights in general as a strain mate?
I have had nothing but dramas and headachey buds that are all spacey and not appealing at all! Nothing like they are spoken of, yet other strains are right on point....
Could be me!!!!

Walt!! My man!!! Doin the NL again, love it! I'm going to be investing in Coco so this will be a great tool for me! Subbed up friend! Keep at her. I'll be rooting for you in the 2L challenge. You mentioned you've cloned other plants which is pretty cool. Used to be a outdoor vegetable gardener myself. Can't wait to buy my own land and get back at it again! All the best!

Cheers!
