Hello i am wanting to grow because i tired of people taxing...i know the light schedule i want and soil picked out and i know i want cfl but i don't know the set up for lights or grow area needed its going to be an actuall closet grow but set up need to be around a hundred dollars anybody help wanting to grow either 3 candy kush autos or 3northern lighs autos

hi cj, im a newb here also and I would suggest checking out the new grower's section and the diy section. lot's of good info on doin it on the cheap. and after you get started you can alway's upgrade a little at a time. good luck and hit me up with any qustion's you have. what is the size of your chosen grow area?
I started with one of these, but I only grew one plant. I later got a second one, still growing the one plant, and later still went to a 400 watt HPS.

That's understandable but for my yield to be worth while 2oz per harvest would be target with 2 dwarf plants would it be possible for newby grower?
Thats a fairly large area, I would consider getting a decent sized light or build a small box and try doing a micro....
Would two 300watt cfl work what is average yield for a dwarf plant. and what nutes if any at all...would a house fan in the close worklol
Personally I would say get a tent, anything bigger then 2'x2' should be big enough for 2+oz plus enough light for the space 300w of cfl should do 2+, extractor fan for said size plus carbon filter to suit fan, possibly a way to control fan speed for temps and/or noise plus also a fan to circulate air in tent. Also you need to read a few journals to see what others do etc. One last thing I don't grow with cfl so not too clued up about using them but I do know the trick is keeping light close, you will probably need to train it/them. Hope this helps.
Ps I use 150w hps at the moment and I use a bathroom fan that has to be slowed using a cheapo fan speed controller in a box 24" x 18" x 48" and pull 2oz, and I do kinda neglect mine . Good luck bruv

I would agree to do 1 or 2 first, your yield per plant will be higher and probably match your over all if you did 3-4 at a time. I think with 1 300W cfl, some tender loving care, a great support system (check - got that here), with two plants your minimum yield should be around 2oz. If you did 4 plants you'd probably get the same yield just 15g a plant instead of 30g a plant. Over / under watering, over / under feeding, inconsistent temperature / humidity, nutrients, insects, lack of fresh co2 being in a closet will all play a role into your yield. But I think planning and talking it out here will help avoid some of the rookie mistakes and should put you at least at your goal. Put in another 300wcfl and I'd say look more to the 3-4oz+
My first grow was the end of a closet, about 2X2X5. I used two 40 actual watt cfl's, one 2700 and one 6400, running them both through the entire grow at 3-4" and used tinfoil roasting pan for a reflector. I went 24/0 for that grow but now run 20/4. I bought mylar for the walls. I grew two plants using 3 gallon pots. I used a 4" USB desk fan. I used the dreaded Miracle Gro with a higher N than P, K for my veg nutes and a high P formula for my flowering nutes. I grew a Northern Lights and a White Widow. Northern Lights got 2x taller than the WW, so had to elevate the WW to keep the light close to both plants. The grow went a full 120 days, breeder listed as 65. Had less than 50.00 in the whole setup. Harvested about 1 1/2 from NL and 1 oz from WW. Hope this helps.
