Water ph question.

Right,I get what you are saying.Thats a layered system of organics is what they use.I have used soils like that a cpl times for many grows.Kind Soil is similar to this.I used NLS for a emergency repair as I didnt have any on hand and it helped so cant comment on its performance. But yeah, instead of layers.take that 3 or 5 or 10 gallon amount of said soil and mix with the remainder volume of said size (3-5-10 gallon) sized pot. so the NLS soil packet will be all mixed up in say the other 2 or 4 or 8 gallons of soil, coco, perlite mixture.I would add stuff for bloom personally and some lime but and some Hulvic.since I dont know how it does in flower.most soils dont follow through fully in flower. That make sense?

I'm trying this approach as well, mixing the amendments into the entire soil and just putting a solo cup's worth of light soil in the middle for the seedling to grow into first. From what I've read about organic soil, there is different types of life throughout the layers of the soil and the microbes that live towards the top do most of the decomposition of organic matter. So, it would seem that keeping all the rich soil at the bottom may not be the best idea. I think most companies tell you to do this so that you don't burn your plant, but if you keep a plug of light soil in the middle, that shouldn't be an issue. Found a great article on compost tea and microbial life here that seems to jibe with stuff I've read from other reputable sources.
