Breaker of Colas
I’ve noticed a significant decrease in how quickly my pots are drying up. They are well into bloom now. I was watering daily (coco coir) as the pots were drying up and needed it. Now it’s about every day and a half to two days. Does cannabis slow down it’s consumption of water/nutes in bloom?
.... during later stages of bloom, this isn't happening much any more, plus older fan leaves begin to shut down; transpiration slows, then stops as the stomata close up for bizz; no need to take in CO2 for fixing into carbon on a leaf that's "retiring", nor is the water loss via open stomata happening. Even the chlorophyll is getting broken down, what mobile nutes are in those leaves are getting translocated to where they are needed....new smaller but more numerous fan/sugar leaves are still doing their thing of course, and certain nute demands are high, but as the buds mature and ripen more and more, that tapers off too... If you've noticed on many feed schedules, the last 1-2 weeks of feeds are reduced, prior to "flush",...
strike one.....
