Hey Alan, been a while bro. I really like this Empire Builder by Sanctuary soil. I start adding nutes around week 5 just from habit, but I have not seen any "hungry" looking plants with this stuff. It doesn't compact like OF over time, and I don't even need to add perlite. The roots really fill out my pots. It's also easy on the wallet compared to some other super soils.
I am starting to experiment with DWC for my next grow, but I will always have room for some girls in this soil. I plan on keeping 6 DWC and 4 soil moving forward.
Time for another update on this grow at day 60. I encountered a troubling issue this week. I am not sure how it happened, but my ph pen went waaaaaay off calibration without me knowing. I calibrate every 2 weeks, and I noticed this 1.5 weeks after the last cal.
I corrected it a little late. I am seeing some lockout on my blackjacks. The Blue Mammoths seemed to have tolerated the shift. My meter was reading 2 points low which put me at a high ph. What's worse is I noticed having to adjust up a little more than usual, but chalked it up to the nutes.
In any case, I have thoroughly ph flushed them out over the last 4 days and have began feeding again today. While I was at it I took these pics of the main colas:
Try BLACK and you never go back! I tried WHITE widow in Dam and fell in luv with it - now with the BLACK dragons and BLACK jacks telling me the grass is greener on the other side I know the seed bank with a BLACK and WHITE is gonna get my dollar because double the color double the fun two great colors are better than one
