New Grower We need an auto to photo comparison guide.

I would like to see something geared more toward noobz. Something a little more in depth then "it's good dude" or "I liked it". I have enjoyed auto's but when trying to find the one that is right for me i really struggled. As a medical patient when i go to the dispensary i tell the bud tender "I am looking for heavy indica's today. I like 'strain x' and also enjoyed 'strain y' but i dont really care for 'strain f'. What would you recommend?" I will continue to see and tip any bud tender with a good success rate in their recommendations. (I know within three visits whether or not there listening to me or just plugging the stuff they like or want to get rid of). Now with a little background idea i was thinking maybe we could list three photo's that have desirable effects then follow it with an auto with similar effects. Any regional strains are great. On the flip side i would like to be able for noobz to throw out a photo strain they like for some of the more expierenced auto growers to recomend any auto that might be similiar.


Lowryder #2 - Very Similiar to some of the ATF that is around the pacific northwest. A strong but not to typical sativa buzz

(As a 20yr smoker i should mention that by similar i mean in potency and effect)

Pink Panther (clone only strain in the seattle/tacoma area)

there are a few more but at the moment i am drawing a blank, plus i want to make sure that i'm not putting stuff out there that already has an auto version. ex. i like northern light but there is already severaly northern light auto's for me to choose from already

Nice suggestion dirtryder, I am running that one up the flag pole to see if it flies. I think it would make a great selection as I am about like you. Smoked tons of photos but have a real hard time pulling the trigger with autos. There is so little information out there about effects and such. Especially comparatively speaking to photos.

I was hoping that everything would be alright with it. I don't want to step on any breeders toes. I really appreciate all that they do for our community and i understand that it is not just a hobby for some but a way of life and making a living. I can see where if i was selling Downy i wouldn't want to tell you that it works just like Bounce. If i did step on some i apologize. But i was hoping that maybe it would be a benificial tool that would help to get rid of some of the "resume syndrome".(you know when you have seen your umpteenth resume and you have seen them all using the same high level words on each one, ex. "extraordinary, professional, excellent, great."...blah blah blah same basic thing on each one). I am a medical patient and there are certain traits that i desire but a lot of times the only reference points that i have come from other strains that i have tried. I have tried a few auto's that weren't really for me. (bad karma to call them out by name, because they weren't bad just not what i was looking for) And i would like to try and shorten my experimental stages. Also were i live auto's are not very popular and i think that one way to increase the popularity would be to make it simple to find what you want.
