Weird leaf..

Awesome Eek thanks! I know the site is really good else i wouldn't be lurkin around all day hehe, just that search is a complete wacko :)

ide be very happy to get 150g out of my first grow(of 2 plants), actually ide be more than happy

I got 150g from 8 plants (7 coz 1 was a dude) that's not so good but for a noob I guess not so bad either, I would have had alot more if I kept the stretch under control I'm sure :)

I got a LED magnifier and did another through investigation and for a second I saw something that looked like a fungus gnat larva in this thread https://www.autoflower.org/f74/self-diagnose-your-plants-basic-deficiencies-list-11.html also that is consistent with the adult I saw flying this morning, so I think that is what I have. I also think I figured out how did I get them. When one of my seeds wouldn't sprout I germinated 2 others, and then all 3 came out, so I had 2 extra plants that didnt fit in my 8 pot hydro. So instead of throwing 2 of them I thought I'll get some cheap soil I can find here, and experiment see if that can produce any result. I think that soil is the source of the infestation, and the larva i saw with the magnifier was in that. I removed the 2 soil pots. Do you guys think they also like coco, or maybe all the larva were in the soil? I looked for an entire hour with the magnifier in the coco pots I see no suspicious movement there. Still Ill put potato slices and all that is suggested in the self diagnose thread...

Also a minute ago my girlfriend saw something in the kitchen a small creatuer, so small only with the magnifier I saw it was like those spider mites. But the kitchen is 2 rooms away from the room the tent is in. Do those travel so far? Maybe I have both? (Fuck my idiot experiment and shithead greedyness :( :cuss:)

pests will travel as far as YOU take them! wash ur hands, gear, etc... Wear clean clothes when u go in ur grow; as for the easisr way to transmit pests is off of YOU ur-self and pets. also if ur not in ur room/tent keep that mother fucker CLOSED!
:wiz:

The tent is closed most of the time, I always wash my hands before and after, I have 2 dachshunds, but I don't think they will carry them from outside in the middle of the winter when all is frozen, that cheap soil remains my main suspect god knows what infestation they have in that flower shop I got it from. Stupid stupid mistake especially because I thought about it before but decided to risk :( probably because I didnt had any infestation my last grow in summer I thought Ill be even safer now in winter. Anyways it is too late now. I will keep an eye on those potato slices and sticky tape for now, if I have them I should see some on it soon. I also have some hope, maybe they prefere soil to coco wich is not so wet and in dark as the 2 soil plants were, and in the diagnose thread, it says they like dark wet soil. I hope all larva were in that and I removed them.. ? Well see I guess... I prepare a tobacco treat also because that takes 24 hours anyways in case it is needed. Also a soap insecticide.. But for now I think is best to wait a little see what happens with the sticky tape and the potato slices...

gnats do love soil, I had an outbreak of gnats, now have a layer of pebbles about a cm thick ontop of my soil and have spreyed the rocks/soil with some stuff i got from the local gardening shop and now they seem to be gone

So far I found nothing in the potato slices, nor on the sticky tape, but I also didn't find new damage... I start to feel hopeful that removing those pots did the trick..

very good chance you did if it was gnats and you removed the soil

Still no sign of any new damage, or anything on the potatoes or sticky paper, that was easy.. if that solved it. Good lesson learned anyway..

great to hear, good thing you didnt use that incecticide or tobacco juice, anytime you can avoid introducing new substances to the plant you risk doing damage
